A Tesla Cybertruck owner shares that he has driven his truck for 50,000 miles and that it’s been the most reliable vehicle he's ever owned.

Ironically, the Cybertruck owner works as an environmental compliance tester, inspecting gas stations and similar facilities for leaks and other environmental concerns.

However, his vehicle of choice for his job assessing gas stations is his all-electric Cybertruck.

Because of his work, the Cybertruck owner drives quite a bit each day—more than 100 miles—and also carries over 1,000 pounds of equipment.

Despite these long drives and heavy gear, he praises his electric truck as the most dependable vehicle he's ever had.

He shares that he previously drove trucks from Ford, Chevy, and GMC, and after around 50,000 miles, he faced costly transmission repairs on all of them.

However, with his Cybertruck, everything has been smooth sailing.

The satisfied Cybertruck owner shared his experience on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.

He writes…

“Well, I reached 50,000 miles in my Cybertruck today. The warranty is gone, and now I feel like I'm in a starship heading to Mars, alone and unsure of when something might fail.

It's okay, though; this truck has been more reliable than any other truck I've owned.

Driving over 100 miles a day for work, using every feature, and carrying 1,000 pounds of equipment daily for environmental compliance testing, construction, towing, camping, and off-roading.

By now, the Chevy, GMC, and Ford trucks I've owned needed major repairs; transmissions were the worst, and daily driving costs were high. That sucked compared to the cost of my Cybertruck.

So far, everything seems to be going very well. However, the Cybertruck owner notes that, since the Cybertruck is a battery electric vehicle, unlike his previous internal combustion trucks, he has discovered even more unexpected benefits.

He adds that when he goes camping, he brings solar-powered generators to the campsite and uses the sun to power both the campsite and his vehicle.

He continues to write…

“With my two Jackery 2000 Plus Explorer solar generators and 1600 watts of solar panels, remote adventures are worry-free during camping for days.

No sound, no fuel, no extra cost- just 240 V, 28 amps pushing electrons into the truck.”

The Cybertruck owner adds that, so far, the only drawback to owning the all-electric vehicle is how divisive it has become and the negative political attention it attracts.

He writes…

“It's been an exciting, fun, and politically charged adventure. Those people suck. It was like being around a bunch of monkeys who only have one feeling: hate.”

However, as the political tension around Tesla eases, he mentions he’s beginning to enjoy the vehicle.

He continues…

Now that the political shenanigans have settled down a bit, I'm back to enjoying my daily drive along the coast, through the Central Valley, and in the Sierra Nevada while FSD takes over, just relaxing.

There's much more to say, but someone else already said it.”

Below his post, the Cybertruck owner included several pictures. The pictures show his Cybertruck parked at a gas station loaded with environmental compliance testing equipment.

Overall, this Cybertruck owner appears happy driving his truck for work every day. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.

The cybertruck is art. Some people get it, some don't. It definitely brings out emotions and that is what art is supposed to do. This art also drives itself, is faster, more comfortable, and durable than anything else in its class.

It may be art, as you say
It is also true that there isn't a body panel that can't be produced on a simple brake press thereby saving tens of millions of dollars in pre-production tooling costs.
Do you think that is reflected in the pricing?

It hasn't been around long enough to call it the most durable and I highly doubt that there will be many, if any 30+ year old ones running around. As for it being "art", it's a truck, it's a tool, I'd rather it be useful than "art". It's fast in a straight line, not sure how that helps either as someone who uses a truck.

Yea sad about how the political left aka liberals, Dems, socialist show their true self when things don't go their way. Difference between the left and right (Nazis are between the communist and facists anything else is a lie by ommition or half lie)

The left require being invited and once those who they invite decide to leave they are ridiculed for it aka socially outcast

The right anyone is welcomed and when that individual who was welcomed leaves the attitude towards them is well nice to have met you hope you do well whenever you want to stop by be free to do so and we will catch up on what's been happening in our lives.

The "CyberTruck" is not "Art". It is a rolling pile of crap, unsuitable as a truck. It's a hideous looking thing, resembling a rejected prop from a sci-fi movie.

It gets stuck in the mud, has limited range, and it ugly as hell

Yeah, I was just starting to type a comment about the truck asthetics. I prefer the more traditional pickup truck styles/looks and as time is going by, the newer standard truck offerings are starting to come with large touch/info screens and tech that made Tesla interesting in the beginning. I dislike the look of the Cyber Truck. I dislike the Name of the Cyber Truck lol. But, yes!, see it as art, make it what you want to see. Enjoy it for what it is.

And per this owners feedback,
trouble free is not a bad trade off I suppose!

The person that doesnt get it is you. You've been sold. Thats it. This article is also a literal paid ad in the form of an article. I can call my trash can art. There will always be a crowd that thinks they "get" it. You dont.

My 92 f150 has 372,000 miles with original 302 and e40d transmission lol that thing doesn't hold a candle to any 90's trucks, that cybertruck makes a Pontiac aztec look like a beautiful car 😂

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't care for cyber trucks. I love my old 50's trucks and 2023 Toyota tacoma 4x4 with six speed manual transmission. The Chevy are manual transmission too. I do miss my 2008 Toyota pruis..... it was total when Lincoln towncar hit me while I was stopped. It was a hybrid.

2010 XLT Ford F150 with 250,000 miles never had transmission issues. Besides tires every 50,000 miles or so no major upkeep. How often are tires changed on the cyber junk? I still drive over 100 miles/day. Can you drive 6000 miles in 4 days like my 2010? When you get over 200,000 miles like a Ford truck owner then write a review. I'll be nice. Let's hear from you at 100,000 miles. Pretty sure charging, insurance and tires make that cyber junk a whole lot more expensive to keep than a Ford. There 's no way you're having transmission issues on a Ford at 50,000 miles. You struck a nerve. Seriously. Why not write a more believable article about fairies.?

50,000 is the benchmark where his previous vehicles would require major repairs and have issues. The cybertruck is still going strong. 50,000 was the point set by his previous vehicles where the problems would start.

I have 95k on my cybertruck and have no maintenance at all, as I would expect. Before my cybertruck I had a 2015 model s p85d with 258k miles and Guess what I had no repairs at all. The original battery was also at 91 percent. I have also met other Tesla owner with well over 500k miles and very minimal repairs. By far the longest lasting vehicles ever made.

50000miles is impressive after having to replace transmissions in the other American made trucks. We as a country will never take Chevy Chrysler or anyone else out of bankruptcy again. We save them and they make their transmissions out of plastic and God knows what else.Screw them all, when your gone your outa here bitches!!! Quit ripping us off!!!! Those trucks burn sitting still dumb asses!!

Yeah, my '03 Dodge Diesel pickup is still running fine at 500,000, and I didn't run out of warranty till 100000 miles. Also, the transmission lasted 440,000, the factory batteries lasted 312,000 the starter lasted 490,000, injectors 365,000, and the oil still comes out clean. But then I only paid $29000 for it brand new...

I purchased a new Cybertruck beast and have never had a single issue or thing go wrong ! I’ve owned it 18 months now and have loved every moment driving it ! I used to only buy new Mercedes and the Tesla is light years ahead in comfort and performance ! It is also faster 0-60 than any production benz ever 0-60 . Including the best models ! Thanks Tesla
