A rift is beginning to form between early Cybertruck buyers who paid six figures for their trucks and newer owners taking delivery of the $59,990 version. One owner even suggests Tesla should build a dedicated supercharger for each group.

A Cybertruck owner is causing an uproar after calling on Tesla to create separate supercharger stations for owners of the most expensive Cybertruck model, separate from those who purchased the base version.

This owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared his thoughts on the Tesla Cybertruck group on Facebook.

He wrote…

“It’s kind of annoying when the $59,000 Cybertrucks are hogging the superchargers. Tesla needs an upper tier for the non-poors to use. Anyone else agree?”

It appears this Cybertruck owner bought the fully equipped version for over $120,000 and doesn’t want to share a supercharger with the “plebeians” who paid half as much.

Naturally, his ideas sparked significant debate within the Cybertruck community.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Mavery, writes…

“If you constantly need to use a supercharger, then I guess you’re the “poor” one. Don’t you have access to a garage with 220 volts?”

In response, the original owner explains that he has to use the supercharger network because…

“My two houses are several hundred miles apart.”

Another owner suggests comments like the original poster’s are why some people spit on Cybertrucks.

This owner writes…

“With comments like these, people wonder why their trucks get spat on.”

A third Cybertruck owner echoes this sentiment, adding…

“You guys are the reason people dislike Tesla and Cybertruck. Enjoy the dark side."

In response, the original poster says the controversy surrounding Elon Musk is the reason people dislike the Cybertruck, not his “sassy comments.”

A lot of Cybertruck owners also encouraged the original poster to sell his truck.

One owner writes…

“I agree … sell your truck so you can fit better with your kind.”

Another Cybertruck owner, Troy, writes…

“Wait like everyone else or charge at home like the real non-poor.”

A lot of Cybertruck owners also commented that the original poster is upset because he paid too much for his truck, while others who waited managed to buy one at half price.

One owner writes…

“Bro is mad he overpaid”

Another one writes…

“Sounds like little man is mad because he paid too much.”

However, these comments drew more owners into the debate, especially those who purchased the more premium Cybertruck versions.

One Owner writes…

“How did he overpay? That $59K base model Cybertruck sucks and doesn’t have the features that the tri-motor performance version has.

I keep seeing posts here from the $59K owners upgrading their tires, sound systems, etc. These people couldn’t afford a Premium or a performance version, now they have buyer's remorse.”

Another Cybertruck owner, Ryan, writes…

“Overpaid? Cybertrucks didn’t get cheaper; Tesla just stripped options... I want all the options because they are awesome. Would pay six figures again.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Specer, writes…

“As a tri-motor Cybertruck owner, I do not feel like I overpaid at all.”

A fourth Cybertruck owner writes…

“No one cares about people who buy a far inferior model. You get what you pay for.

No one with the income would buy a cheap base model Cybertruck like this.”
