Jan is a huge Cybertruck fan from Colorado, but says his wife doesn’t share his excitement for the all-electric truck.

Jan adds that his wife is pushing him to trade in the Cybertruck for a 2026 Ford F-150 Raptor.

The couple used to own a 2023 F-150 Raptor, and after they bought the Cybertruck, the wife said she misses the roomy interior, the comfy seats, the high ride height and view, as well as the commanding road presence and look of the F-150.

Now, Jan is asking fellow Cybertruck owners to help him convince his wife that the Cybertruck is the better vehicle.

Jan shared his predicament on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.

He writes…

“Wife wants to trade in the Cybertruck, help!

A few years back, we owned a 2023 F150 Raptor equipped with 37-inch tires and the performance package. It was a fantastic truck—comfortable ride, high stance, and plush seats. I later sold it for a 392 Jeep Wrangler, which we enjoyed but didn't keep for long due to comfort issues.

To fix that, after waiting a few years for the Cybertruck bugs to be sorted out, we bought a 2026 AWD Premium Cybertruck.

Of course, we all know the benefits of the Cybertruck. And FSD is hard to live without, but my wife keeps bugging me about getting a new 2026 F150 Raptor.

She says she misses the large interior, the comfy seats, the tall ride height and view, and the road presence/look.

I do all the driving and chauffeuring, but I don't mind since I enjoy driving, and she's sooooo slow.

Don’t get me wrong—the modern F150 Raptor is a fantastic truck, but maybe she’s viewing it through rose-colored glasses.”

Finally, Jan concludes his post, asking fellow Cybertruck owners for pointers on how to convince his wife.

He writes…

“Any ideas on how I can convince her not to keep bringing up the Ford F-150 Raptor? I even dedicated the frunk just for her!”

Looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners had some interesting recommendations.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Dalton, jokes…

“Such a shame. I’m sure your wife will be missed.”

Another Cybertruck owner, Charlie, writes…

“I guess you're the one doing most of the driving. FSD doesn’t matter much for a passenger like her, but it’s a big deal for the driver.

From now on, let her drive, and you sit in the passenger seat!”

A third Cybertruck owner, Chuck, says…

“All the benefits of the F-150 Raptor are in the Cybertruck. Remind her how much gas costs, too, for a lesser experience.”

A fourth Cybertruck owner, Mike, writes…

“Get the performance Cybertruck and let her do a launch or two. I came from a Rocky Ridge with a 6" lift and the Coyote motor. Wife hated the height getting in and out. I thought it always felt sloppy, but I love the tri-motor Cybertruck, and there’s no way I’d go back.”

A fifth Cybertruck owner writes…

“I’d recommend making her drive everywhere and always pointing out the gas prices. If she's too slow, take her to demo a tri-motor Cybertruck.”

A sixth Cybertruck owner, Michael, writes…

“My wife isn't in love with the Cybertruck, but there are two things that really swayed her and quieted down the complaints.

1) With FSD, our stress levels decrease when we drive. Especially at night, driving back from First Avenue in Minneapolis to our lake home 60 minutes north at midnight. We don't stress about the deer jumping out of the ditch. Cybertruck catches it every time. Before that, we'd be hunched over the dashboard like soldiers watching from a foxhole for an hour. It's no fun after a great show.

2) Safety ratings are outstanding. After seeing a few crashes where the Cyberturck survived with little visible damage or with no injured passengers (compared to the other car), it's hard not to notice that what truly matters in life is each other's safety and well-being.

I'll add a third one:

3) Drives are smooth and worry-free. My wife hates it when I'm driving because I tend to speed and go a little too fast. With FSD Standard, the speed, turns, and overall handling create a pleasant experience for her. She enjoys being a passenger when FSD is on. Honestly, I'm not that bad a driver, but I completely understand the feeling of quick turns if you're not fully in control.”

Overall, Cybertruck owners generally feel that the Cybertruck is obviously a superior vehicle compared to the Ford F-150 Raptor. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.
