Owner of a Golden Tesla Cybertruck Says He Can No Longer Handle the Constant Harassment. He Adds, “I Tried to Trade in the Cybertruck, but Tesla Won’t Accept It”

A Cybertruck owner with a golden truck says he has to deal with constant hostility toward him and his family. His wife has stopped using the truck, and he says he wants to trade it in for another Tesla, but the EV maker has refused.

Kumait Jaroje is a Cybertruck owner from Worcester, Massachusetts, who says he and his family face constant hostilities simply for driving a golden Cybertruck.

Kumait adds that the harassment is affecting his wife and children, and now his wife refuses even to drive the Cybertruck.

Fade up with all the negativity, Kumait tried to trade in his golden wrapped Tesla Cybertruck and get another Tesla; however, he says the EV maker refused to accept his Cybertruck trade-in.

The Massachusetts Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Tesla Cybertruck Enthusiast group on Facebook.

Here is what he wrote…

“My family is being harassed just because we own a Cybertruck.

Since getting our Cybertruck, we’ve faced constant hostility—people making offensive hand gestures, yelling at us, and now this.

Someone even put a Nazi sticker on our truck. My wife and kids don’t deserve this. In fact, the constant harassment has scared our kids, and now my wife refuses to use the Cybertruck altogether.

Disagreeing with Elon Musk or Donald Trump is one thing, but harassing a family over a vehicle is completely unacceptable.

This needs to stop.”

Below his post, Kumait included a picture of his golden Cybertruck showing that someone had put a sticker on it calling him Nazi and with some expletives.

By the way, before we move forward you need to know that Tesla recently made something seemingly impossible, by making the Cybertruck looking cheap, using the Model X. How? Look at this fresh video from the Youtube Channel of Torque News.

Looking at the comment, most Cybertruck owners sympathized with his plight. Some wondered where Kumait lived to face this much hostility.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Pedro Ferrer, asks…

“Where do you live? I am in Georgia, and I've had my Cybertruck since March and have only experienced a couple of rude hand gestures, which I laugh at because they've been from some people driving falling apart cars, so just really jealous people.

Now, the internet and social media are a whole other thing, but that is to be expected....”

In response, Kumait says the hate is not limited to online interactions.

He writes..

“I live in Worcester, Massachusetts. It got to the point where people are cutting me off sometimes and screaming out of their windows.”

Kumait adds that he tried to trade in his Cybertruck due to the hostilities; however, Tesla refused to take it back.

He writes…

“I tried to trade in the truck because of that, but Tesla said they won’t accept it!”

Looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners advised him to ignore the sticker and keep driving his truck.

However, Kumait says he’s now afraid something more violent could happen to him.

He writes…

“It is not a 'be cool' sticker. It is someone accusing me of being a Nazi and telling me to buzz off. The truck got scratched many times, and I fixed it without a problem.

That ignorant mentality might have someone throw a rock at the truck next time if we don’t stick out and tell these freaks to stop.”

This is definitely not an ideal situation. However, some Cybertruck owners in the group suggest that he’s getting so much hate because Kumait wrapped his Cybertruck gold.

Others say they have not experienced this much hate driving their all-electric trucks and suggest that he consider getting a less flashy wrap.

Whatever the case, it’s surprising to see how much public hate Cybertruck owners face. What do you think is the cause behind all this negativity? Please let me know in the comments.

Now you have a taste of the harassment, threats, and vandalism that 'whiny libtards' have been dealing with for the last 10 years: Lawmakers and election officials and their families being threatened, graffiti, swastikas, etc... let's have a return to civility, compromise, empathy, and objective facts and evidence on all sides. Please!

He bought a car that's twice as ugly as an AMC Pacer and half as useful, then he wrapped it in Insecurity Yellow. You can only complain that folks are kicking you when it was someone else who taped the "kick me" sign on your back.

Republicans have been harassing car-owners with their "identity politics" for at least 18 years. We got "coal rolled" plenty of times in my mid-2000's Prius. Had to explain to my little kids on 4th of July, in deep-red rural country, after a diesel pickup did this right after the parade finished. Even comedians make fun of Prius' (eg Jeff Dunham). In my opinion, it is fair and reasonable to speak to Republican's the way they speak to Democrats. They should stop being thin-skinned or I'll use their 'conservative tears' to wash my Prius ;)

I find the trade refusal by a dealer hard to believe, probably should read owner refused the dealers offer.

While I do understand his plight, the responses from the other Tesla owners are exactly what I would expect from egotistical rich brats. Let us be real, these trucks are hideous and now it has become a symbol of hatred because of Elon. While I don't feel like they deserve this level of aggression, I understand how it looks for people who are struggling - what comes to mind is "let them eat cake". The disparity between the classes is becoming greater, something which Elon & Trump are making sure of. I hope people do back off, however, as it isn't the right thing to do.

I believe the best option you have because Musk’s company isn’t taking it back is to throw a Harris/Walz sticker on it or even find an old Obama sticker if you don’t like Harris

Owning a cyber truck marks you as a Trump/Elon supporter just as having a Trump bumper sticker does. People hate Trump voters, for good reason. If you don’t want negative feedback, don’t advertise the fact that you support Trump, or better, stop supporting him.

In this country, we murder innocent people ... explain to the residents of Hiroshima and Nagaski how they were guilty of war to be murdered in masse !

You may be innocent by buying an unpopular vehicle .. but you are just as guilty as the Nazis that ruled Germany !!
BTW ... Germany kills Nazis and sympathizers!!

Yeah the US has done some insanely horrific and inhumane things to inocents all over the globe, but to assert that one is actually guilty of human atrocities because he bought a truck?! Come on, man, That is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Thats like saying that because you pay your taxes then YOU are responsible for the deaths of the residents of Hiroshima and Nagaski, (or whatever modern atrocity committed by the US) because your tax dollars paid for the weapons that killed them.

This is why CEO's don't get involved in politics. There are consequences, particularly if you give a nazi salute.

The entirety of this problem is his own problem, it's not a very long article but I'm waiting to get to the place that informs us that this is Tesla or Musk's fault. Getting vandalized and threatened by others? Call the police ! And there's no law anywhere nor any judge in any court that would force any dealership to take a vehicle on trade in. If you really want to get rid of it contact me, Kumait, I'll give you 10 bucks for it, cash money.

Crabbieappleton (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 12:28PM

I doubt much of this story is true. Especially after Elon's Nazi salute, the guy probably got some comments, but he's leaning into this victim mentality pretty hard, and he's trying real hard to explain away his buyer's remorse.
A gold Cybertruck. That's all you need to know.

Brenda (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 12:34PM

I personally do not like the look of the vehicle. But if that is what you choose to drive - to each his own. I would never, ever harass anyone for their choice. So sorry you are having an issue.

You're the problem (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 12:52PM

It's easy - when you drive a douchewagon, expect to be called a douchebag. I'm not jealous and you didn't ruin my day, I'm laughing to myself and the hand gesture to you is me just acknowledging that you are a douchebro.

I live in Red Ohio so EVs are not really welcome here. I have gotten used to people being rude. I like our X but I'm concerned about Tesla's future. Getting parts can become a nightmare and a failed charging system will limit my ability to travel more than a 100 miles or so one way. I don't think shutting down the Tesla experiment will be given much thought by Musk. I don't think he is capable of feelings for others because of his Autism. That coupled with unlimited wealth is a problem for stability in anything he does. I cancelled my Cybertruck reservation and we decided against buying a Y for my wife. Risky future with Tesla.

What should I say without shedding single tear along the way… this is First World Problems 101. And it’s also Extreme Reactions of Liberals 101. Such sorrow.
1. Can’t people just keep their disgust to themselves?
2. Not only that they have money to buy the ugliest vehicle ever made, but they also wrapped it in GOLD! Lol. I just have no words…

From Serbia wi… (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 1:38PM

Oh and I found the “family” who owns this truck. It’s used as a luxury pickup for their hair transplant and body sculpting business. On the sides of that GOLD (and I mean GOOOOLD AF) vehicle they’ve printed #1hair transplant. Everything about this screams flashy distasteful lifestyle - maybe that’s the biggest issue.

Eric (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 1:42PM

Well, you bought it and wrapped it to convey the message "Hey, everybody. Look at me!" You got what you wanted, why complain now?

p targ (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 2:33PM

Buying a car this unusual-looking is done only by people wishing to make some statement. Most intelligent people would know not to endanger the safety of their wife and children by making a "statement", by having to buy this odd-looking car.

Rick (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 2:35PM

Recently came back from Albuquerque and the Tesla dealer there had 25 to 30 of these heaps they couldn't sell. Nobody's going to want them on trade, because everyone who wanted them bought them already and are now realizing they are stuck with them.

Alan Cramm (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 2:37PM

Maybe it's because the Cybertruck is the most ridiculous vehicle ever built, and driving one tells the world you're a moron.

Jess Falk (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 3:01PM

I believe the hate and anger come from people who see this truck as the opposite of helping others, caring about the environment (lithium is a horrible chemical in the environment), and flashing their personal wealth and status as the poor grow poorer and the rich become richer. It could be seen as overindulgence and ignorance wrapped up in a gold wrapper.

ChevyTaste (not verified)    February 11, 2025 - 5:30PM

That's to be expected from Mass. Just another example of the "sugar coated hate" that oozes from the Left. I was a staunch Democrat from my first time voting in 2008 till 2015. Then I pulled back the veil and was disgusted. I still eliminate tons of plastic out of my life. Literally none in bathroom, besides tooth brush (powder toothpaste in a tin) Drive a 4cyl efficient car, recycle and vote RED top down the ballot. The media is going to whip up so many lies and hate to keep their drones in a rage that are still asleep. It's quite sad. Change comes from the individual, not bloated New Left useless legislation. They all make me sick. I'd take my golden truck and leave Trashachussetts. More than welcome to the Granite State. Just remember why you left!!!

I’m from the south, a state that makes most of its money from big oil. We are primarily a red state. Many people here hate electric cars because they support big oil. Down here it’s mainly conservatives who hate EVs and liberals who support them.
