Cybertrucks are indeed laughable. It is a terrible vehicle. If someone buys one, they bought ght into the hype and ignored the tons of complaints, recalls, and the obvious and blatant lack of ethics/morals of Musk, who they chose to enrich. I look at the poor owners of cybertrucks with pitty, knowing they wasted their money on such an abomination. It isn't a good truck in any way. It is hideous. None of the hyped stats were ever incorporated in the final product. And Musk is the last man on the planet anyone should enrich, or even pee on if he was on fire. Should have got a Ford Lightning or a Rivian R1T. At least those are real trucks (to the extent an EV truck can be) that don't ignite hatred in some of the motorists that see you.

I think it's pretty obvious why so many people hate those things. First, they're hideous. They're so poorly designed and built it's laughable. But I don't think you can completely understand the full scope of people's hatred without realizing what a crazy, racist weirdo Musk is, and how that plays on peoples psyche. Sorry he feels harassed. Plenty of us find the truck silly, to me it looks like a Republicans midlife crisis car. My husband says it looks like the 1980s garbage truck from the future. I might point and laugh, I might make judgements about the owner for having such terrible taste, but I wouldn't actually harass the person driving it.

People interpret your purchase of a $100K truck as an endorsement of Musk and his policies and they are not popular. Anyone buying one, seeks attention. These are not stealthy vehicles. If you wanted a vehicle that doesn't attract attention, may I suggest the Ford F150?

I think it's mainly because of Elon & DOGE's involvement with the government. Although, the gold color could also be a large part of the problem. Get rid of the gold color & see if it helps. Otherwise, maybe selling it, if it can't be traded in.
