Owner of a Golden Tesla Cybertruck Says He Can No Longer Handle the Constant Harassment. He Adds, “I Tried to Trade in the Cybertruck, but Tesla Won’t Accept It”

A Cybertruck owner with a golden truck says he has to deal with constant hostility toward him and his family. His wife has stopped using the truck, and he says he wants to trade it in for another Tesla, but the EV maker has refused.

Kumait Jaroje is a Cybertruck owner from Worcester, Massachusetts, who says he and his family face constant hostilities simply for driving a golden Cybertruck.

Kumait adds that the harassment is affecting his wife and children, and now his wife refuses even to drive the Cybertruck.

Fade up with all the negativity, Kumait tried to trade in his golden wrapped Tesla Cybertruck and get another Tesla; however, he says the EV maker refused to accept his Cybertruck trade-in.

The Massachusetts Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Tesla Cybertruck Enthusiast group on Facebook.

Here is what he wrote…

“My family is being harassed just because we own a Cybertruck.

Since getting our Cybertruck, we’ve faced constant hostility—people making offensive hand gestures, yelling at us, and now this.

Someone even put a Nazi sticker on our truck. My wife and kids don’t deserve this. In fact, the constant harassment has scared our kids, and now my wife refuses to use the Cybertruck altogether.

Disagreeing with Elon Musk or Donald Trump is one thing, but harassing a family over a vehicle is completely unacceptable.

This needs to stop.”

Below his post, Kumait included a picture of his golden Cybertruck showing that someone had put a sticker on it calling him Nazi and with some expletives.

By the way, before we move forward you need to know that Tesla recently made something seemingly impossible, by making the Cybertruck looking cheap, using the Model X. How? Look at this fresh video from the Youtube Channel of Torque News.

Looking at the comment, most Cybertruck owners sympathized with his plight. Some wondered where Kumait lived to face this much hostility.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Pedro Ferrer, asks…

“Where do you live? I am in Georgia, and I've had my Cybertruck since March and have only experienced a couple of rude hand gestures, which I laugh at because they've been from some people driving falling apart cars, so just really jealous people.

Now, the internet and social media are a whole other thing, but that is to be expected....”

In response, Kumait says the hate is not limited to online interactions.

He writes..

“I live in Worcester, Massachusetts. It got to the point where people are cutting me off sometimes and screaming out of their windows.”

Kumait adds that he tried to trade in his Cybertruck due to the hostilities; however, Tesla refused to take it back.

He writes…

“I tried to trade in the truck because of that, but Tesla said they won’t accept it!”

Looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners advised him to ignore the sticker and keep driving his truck.

However, Kumait says he’s now afraid something more violent could happen to him.

He writes…

“It is not a 'be cool' sticker. It is someone accusing me of being a Nazi and telling me to buzz off. The truck got scratched many times, and I fixed it without a problem.

That ignorant mentality might have someone throw a rock at the truck next time if we don’t stick out and tell these freaks to stop.”

This is definitely not an ideal situation. However, some Cybertruck owners in the group suggest that he’s getting so much hate because Kumait wrapped his Cybertruck gold.

Others say they have not experienced this much hate driving their all-electric trucks and suggest that he consider getting a less flashy wrap.

Whatever the case, it’s surprising to see how much public hate Cybertruck owners face. What do you think is the cause behind all this negativity? Please let me know in the comments.

2 words...conspicuous consumption. Gold wrapped was probably not the best choice. Now the richest man in the world is causing the poorest to starve. That's why

Well... first of all, drivers from Massachusetts are called "Massholes" and have been for many many years, so some of the cutting off and yelling could just be normal for the state.

Second of all, the Cybertruck is just so darn ugly that people assume the only reason anyone WOULD drive it is because they admire Elon Musk and his neo-Nazi stuff. If the owner of Porsche was doing the same thing, people might hate the owner of Porsche, but they might not be as hard on anyone driving one, because they can understand that someone might genuinely like the car.

The CyberTruck is Elon Musk's baby. He had direct input in the design and look. CyberTruck drivers are receiving all the hate due to Musk's involvement in DOGE and what appears to be illegal and unconstitutional actions by Musk and his associates. This is 100% political backlash in an increasingly heated arena

It's funny that Pedro from Georgia thinks it's jealousy from people with junk vehicles. I'll take my 25 year old jeep any and everyday especially off road. Seriously, I guarantee you that my old jeep is vastly more capable in anything that isn't speed in a straight line. Good luck fitting between those randomly spaced trees, choad!

The hate is based on the fact that it’s an absolute garbage vehicle for one. Two, it’s created by a racist, fascist Nazi loving apart that loving waste of life. Three, the loser Lone Skum also sucks dotard dick for a living. The world looks forward to him, the dotard, and the pillow guy having a threesome in prison.

Oh noes!
Those silly poor people don't know how to be owned correctly.
Oh.
No.
Wait.
The other thing.
You bought a blocky vehicle designed by the world's whiniest and least fun or funny person, wrapped it in gold, and then want to pretend you weren't all about getting noticed and bathing in attention.
This isn't just a correlation, this is a cause and an effect.
Own some consequences. People are hating you for being the obnoxiously conspicuous consumer you decided to be, and they're correct in their ire. If their abuse becomes criminal get the authorities involved but whining that you're receiving the levels of attention you sought doesn't get any sympathy.
You wanted attention.
Mission accomplished.

Whomp whomp. Reap what you sow guys.
Gonna support hate? Gonna get hate back.
`Talk to your boy elron or dump if you don't want people thinking you're a putz because of your support of them.

Dang. Y'all cry a lot. On both sides. Great that he's trying to do something good for the environment, not great that he's supporting the company of a clown while he's doing it. Either way, it's an ugly truck, and even uglier in the wrap. Sell it to someone who might actually want it buddy. It's obvious Tesla gives the same amount of caring for their customers as their owner does for anyone with less income than him.

What does this guy do for a living that he can afford this vehicle and a wife and kids. It's time to look at his finances and audit him-question what his job is? Is he paying taxes?(IRS audit) How big is his home? People with this type of cash are usually doing something illegally or under the table. Think about it!!!

What did you expect, folks in Mass sit on reddit all day in echo chambers lecturing the "world" how they should live. The state has become an overcrowded dump filled with illegals, pot, shrooms and alchoholics bing watching netflix and using Reddit all day. Horrible state, best bet is to move

It could be that people are just so disturbed by the horribly ugly, 'made in a redneck garage' look of the Cybertruck.

DRG (not verified)    February 13, 2025 - 8:19PM

Not surprised of this behavior from a trash city such as Worcester. Such hypocrites talking about inclusivity. That means everyone, not just weirdos and queers

The mental gymnastics required to be a liberal in this day and age. If you didn't have the news to tell you what to be outraged about, you wouldn't have an opinion at all lmao. Cope and seethe while the adults dismantle the bloated corrupt federal government and save this country from total financial ruin.
