A Tesla Cybertruck Owner From Utah Says He Was Almost Beaten Up Simply For Driving a Cybertruck, but Adds, “It’s Not an Elon Musk Thing, the Guy was Driving a Lifted Ford F-350 Diesel”

A Cybertruck owner says a random stranger approached him and said, “Let me tell you something.” Then, the stranger started a tirade about the Cybertruck. However, the owner adds that the issue wasn’t Elon Musk, and the guy had a lifted Ford F-350 diesel.

A Cybertruck owner from Utah says he’s experiencing “next-level hate” simply for driving the truck.

The Cybertruck owner, who goes by the username RM Rilke on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, shared that his choice in vehicles almost caused him to get into a physical altercation with a complete stranger.

RM Rilke says he took his Cybertruck to go on a mountain bike ride, parked the truck at the trailhead, and went on his bike ride.

He passed next to a gentleman in the middle of the trail without any issues. He carried on his bike ride; however, when he got back to his Cybertruck, the same man was waiting for him, looking to start trouble.

RM Rike says the two of them did not have any prior altercations, but the man was waiting next to the Cybertruck to start a fight with whoever the owner was.

Interestingly, he also adds that the man who came at him with his “fists balled and with violent intentions” did not have an issue with Elon Musk but says he drives a lifted-up Ford F-350.

The shaken-up Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, titled “Next-level hate. Wild times.”

Here is what he wrote…

“Mad world. Went on a mountain bike ride today. Passed a guy on the trail without incident.

However, the guy was apparently waiting at the trailhead so that he could absolutely freak out about the Cybertruck.

As I pulled up, he said, "Let me tell you something". He just started yelling with pure rage about the truck. Then started in me. Losing his mind. I mean real red-faced anger.

This was in Southern Utah. He was driving a lifted Ford F-350 diesel—not an Elon thing. He came at me with his fists balled and violent intentions."

This is definitely a scary situation, but RM Rilke says he handled the altercation given his previous work as a public defender.

He continues to write…

“Having been a public defender for decades, this type of thing is literally just another day at the office for me. Spent a lot of time with very troubled souls.

I felt great pity for this person and his challenges. So much hate and anger. I tried to help him past it with all the love and understanding I could muster.”

By the way, before we move forward you need to know that Tesla recently made something seemingly impossible, by making the Cybertruck looking cheap, using the Model X. How? Look at this fresh video from the Youtube Channel of Torque News.

Kudos to RM Rilke for trying to diffuse the situation; however, he says it was not easy.

He writes…

“I’ve got an Irish temper myself. I’ve been known to lose it from time to time. Nobody is perfect.”

However, it appears that the Cybertruck owner was able to be calm enough to diffuse the situation at least partially.

Continuing to write, RM Rilke adds…

“He eventually went back to his truck, still furiously screaming. It was very bizarre. I have got to say, Cybertruck or no Cybertruck, it’s wild times out there.

Feels like a bloody Tinderbox. The internet is making everyone insane. Glad I’m retired and don’t have to care anymore. Be kind to each other.”

This is definitely not an ideal situation, and what’s surprising is that lately, Cybertruck owners have been receiving negative interactions from left-leaning individuals.

This is a new development in the last year, as Elon Musk became more involved with right-leaning politics. However, it appears that the previous hate for Tesla vehicles from guys with lifted-up diesel trucks is still ongoing.

Overall, it’s surprising how anti-Cybertruck sentiment is coming from all directions. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the “Add new comment” button below. Also, visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

This does not surprise me at all. Not only is this a red state, it is very red. I don't think it has anything to do with the left. I think it is the far right, uneducated redneck in their monster trucks, that scream and gesture at anyone who shows a different opinion. We've been screamed at, flipped off, and almost run off the road for having a certain sticker on our vehicle. Don't get me wrong, most Southern Utahns are friendly and loving people. As usual it is the few jerks that get the attention.

Well it shouldn't be surprising, whenever I see a tesla I wanna give them the finger. It's just a natural reaction when it comes to electric vehicles because of the push back on i.c.e. owners. We want gas and diesel powered vehicles without all the electronics. If I could, I'd be driving my 79 british car all year due to zero driver assists or computer monitoring. Hope this helps a few of you make sense of this. Cars are not what they are supposed to be anymore for the real driver. Auto everything, auto transmissions, power steering, traction control that you can't turn off all the way. The list goes on. But I'd never try to hurt someone over it. That kinda defeats the point of communication as all retention of information goes out the window per-say, once it escalates.

But it WAS an Elon thing, that's what the CT owner fails to realize. The F350 owner is obviously feeling the impact of the Elon Musk "Lex Luthor" style takeover of the government.
LEPF dudes, it's pure LEPF.

"Elon Musk became more involved with right-leaning politics."

I guess that's one way of describing a dude in full sig heil mode.

Even though the Cyber truck has got to be the ugliest vehicle ever, it's no excuse for that kind of behaviour.
I just feel sorry for the owners, driving around in a $100k eyesore!
