Alyssa Martin, a Cybertruck owner from Texas, says that while she was on the road, another driver took a particular interest in her truck.
Given the Cybertruck’s unconventional design, this is understandable; however, this individual strongly dislikes the Cybertruck, so he rolled down his windows and began insulting her just for driving one.
This is already bad enough; however, this person then proceeded to follow her home and kept harassing her.
This is definitely concerning, and the frightened Cybertruck owner shared her story in the Cybertruck Owners Only Facebook group.
She writes…
“Imagine being so bothered in your own life just by seeing a Cybertruck… that you have the nerve to turn around, roll your window down, and yell all kinds of ugly things at me while flipping me off AND FOLLOW ME HOME. LIKE. WHAT?”
Finally, Alyssa concludes her post, saying the Cybertruck is just a vehicle and she doesn’t understand why it drives people crazy.
She writes…
“It’s not that serious, y’all. I’m just out here, enjoying my life with my kids, and I love my car. Why does it bother y’all THAT MUCH?”
Below her post, Alyssa includes a picture of her Cybertruck parked in her neighborhood following the incident.
Having someone follow you home and harass you is definitely bizarre; however, looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners shared that they, too, have faced similar incidents.
Many Cybertruck owners believe that the primary reason these individuals target them is envy because they can’t afford a Cybertruck.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Lakshay Sinha, writes…
“It’s because they can’t afford a Cybertruck. It’s pretty obvious.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Victoria Elizabeth, writes…
“A whole bunch of adults get triggered by a vehicle… imagine that! They need therapy. I’m glad you’re all safe. Love you!”
A third Cybertruck owner, Daniel Kumar, advises Alyssa on what to do next time she feels someone is following her.
Daniel writes…
“Don't lead them to your home. Lead them to the Police station.”
A fourth Cybertruck owner, Andrea Leslie, writes…
“It’s just ignorance.
People constantly talk about how it looks or about the Tesla brand and Elon, but they don’t take the time to do actual, unbiased research into what Tesla can do.
I have had my Cybertruck for a year now. 75% of my miles are in FSD.
My son will most likely never be able to drive, but I support FSD in the hope that he and others may someday have independent travel.”
A fifth Cybertruck owner, Mike Lanin, says the need to harass Cybertruck owners stems from…
“Poor people shenanigans”
Another Cybertruck owner, Vanessa Novia, writes…
“The Cybertruck is an awesome car. You keep driving and enjoying your ride while people like that hate it because they can’t have one or will never afford one!”
I see why they will never own one. They waste their time to the point of following you.
They have no life! So ignore them. You enjoy your Cybertruck in good health.
Tesla owners unite!”
A sixth Cybertruck owner, Jerry Willard, writes
“Some people are small and need to be extra to feel important. I like the Cybertruck. Tell the haters to pound sand.”
A seventh Cybertruck owner, Siyatal KaSaitaan Urkhaf, writes…
“I think it's that you can actually afford one, and they can't.”
An eighth Cybertruck owner, Santiago Zuniga, says the people who harass Cybertruck owners are…
“Those are called “losers”. Sorry it happened. It also happened to me twice!”
Overall, many Cybertruck owners believe that the people who harass them in the streets can’t afford the vehicle. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.
