Cybertruck's Stainless Steel Surface Is Hot and "I Keep a Bottle of Water With Ice To Cool Down The Stainless Steel Before Opening The Door"

Tesla Cybertruck owners say they are afraid to touch their truck because the stainless steel gets extremely hot. Some owners mention they worry about burning their hands, and one owner says he carries a bottle of water with ice just to open his doors.

Tesla Cybertruck owners are reporting difficulties with how hot the stainless steel becomes when exposed to sunlight.

A Cybertruck owner who wishes to remain anonymous started the discussion writing…

“Those with a Cybertruck, how do you deal with the metal frame overheating? The Cybertruck gets so hot to the touch that I feel my hand could burn on a hot summer day.”

This is definitely not ideal; however, other Cybertruck owners share that they are in a worse situation.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Joshua Cassino, says the truck’s surface gets so hot that he carries a bottle of water with ice to cool it down before opening the doors.

Joshua writes…

“I keep a water bottle on me with ice and wash the truck down prior to entering.”

This is definitely surprising; however, it is understandable since the Cybertruck lacks proper door handles, requiring owners to grab the hot stainless steel to open the door.

In addition to these two Cybertruck owners, other Cybertruck owners also reported struggling with the truck’s hot surface.

A fellow Cyberturuck owner, Brian Casario, writes…

“I don't touch my Cybertruck when it's hot out.”

Another Cybertruck owner, Yue Zhang, writes…

“My friends have gone through the same problem in Texas (it was fine for me). Touch the rim of the door, not the door’s surface—that will help.”

In addition to the hot surface, Cybertruck owners say the truck presents more hazards due to its sharp edges.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, David Walusis, says he sustained a severe hand laceration while cleaning his truck.

David warns fellow Cybertruck owners to watch out, saying that the top of the Cybertruck frunk is razor-sharp.

David writes…

“The biggest warning for me is that while cleaning the front windshield, the bottom edge of the stainless steel hood, where it meets the windshield glass, is razor sharp.

I got a serious cut on my finger while cleaning my front windshield with glass cleaner and paper towels.”

A lot of Cybertruck owners seem concerned about the truck’s sharpness and how hot the steel surface can get; however, others pushed back, saying the Cybertruck surface doesn’t get hotter than other vehicles.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Tanya Joseph, writes..

“I have never had this issue, or at least never noticed it being really hot. I can touch my Cybertruck.”

Another Cybertruck owner, Jason Kanis from Arizona, writes…

“In Arizona, it has never been a problem.”

A third Cybertruck owner, JD Snead, writes…

“The Cybertruck is not hotter than any other vehicle.”

A fourth Cybertruck owner, John Lussmyer, writes…

“Just like my Ford truck that was black. No difference.”

Here, Cybertruck owners are pushing back, claiming that the Cybertruck surface doesn’t get hotter than, for example, black cars.

That might be true; however, there are other factors besides color to consider when discussing how hot a surface feels. These include material and heat conductivity.

A stainless steel surface has excellent heat conductivity, which is 10 to 20 times greater than that of painted surfaces.

This means that even if a Cybertruck isn’t as hot as a black car, during a quick touch—like when opening the doors or adjusting something—its stainless steel surface will transfer much more heat in a short amount of time.

This suggests that even if the Cybertruck doesn’t get hotter than other vehicles in absolute terms, it will still leave a stronger burning sensation during quick everyday tasks.

The heat is also deteriorating the glue that holds the panel on. Who would buy such a disastrous vehicle, right?

Cyberwhat? Is this about that weird vehicle that nobody but brainwashed narcissistic Tesla fans bought? Only to watch the value of the toaster-on-wheels plummet as everyone else on the road laughs at how ridiculous they look? LOL! And some people are dumb enough to comment online about their cybertuck and draw attention to their naivety.
