Robert, a Cybertruck owner from California, says he keeps hitting his head on the truck's sharp corners.
Robert reports that the damage is bad enough to cause his head to bleed multiple times.
The frustrated Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…
“I can't be the only one who constantly hits my head on the sharp corner of the frunk.
I'm 6 feet tall, and with the frunk open, at easy entry height, I keep hitting my head as I walk around the corner of the truck.
Sometimes enough to bleed. I usually blame Isaac, but it's not his fault, and he's my best friend.”
This is definitely not ideal; however, Robert says that when the truck was new, it came with a small plastic piece covering the sharp corners. Sadly, he adds that the pieces fell off one after the other.
Robert continues to write…
“When the Cybertruck was new, it had a small plastic piece on the corner to prevent head damage.
I lost one within the first 2 months. I thought, ‘I need to take pictures and work on a 3D model,' but before I could, I lost the second one.”
After losing the plastic safety pieces, Robert seems to have hurt his head multiple times on the Cybertruck’s sharp corners.
However, he notes that this won’t be an issue moving forward, as he has now found a $5.99 product on Amazon that will help prevent further injuries.
Robert writes…
“Frunk sharp corner solution. No more headbangers!
Well, I just found a replacement. It's on Amazon, of course, and it's affordable. I'm trying to decide which side I want to remove... I'm leaning toward installing the CF side. The back looks uglier and more utilitarian, but it matches the overall aesthetic better.
I haven't mounted them yet, so I took pictures of both and will wait a few days for opinions.”
Together with his statement, Robert included an Amazon link to the product he ordered to cover the sharp corners of the frunk.
The product description reads…
“Protective Function: This product guards the corners of your car door against scratches and bumps during everyday use, especially when parked in tight spaces or when opening and closing doors frequently.
It helps extend the life of the door and keeps the appearance of the bodywork looking good.”
Based on the description, this product seems intended to be installed on doors and is designed to prevent dings.
However, Robert shows that this product perfectly fits the sharp corners on the Cybertruck’s frunk and can easily be repurposed to protect his head.
Below his post, Robert shared a picture of his Cybertruck frunk showing a triangular rubber/plastic covering fitted to the edge of the frunk.

As you can see, this small piece he bought from Amazon removes two of the sharpest edges on the truck.
This appears to be an easy solution to a potentially hazardous situation. And, looking at the comments, several Cybertruck owners appreciated David’s DIY solution.
These owners mentioned that they have also hurt their heads on the truck’s sharp corners and are glad to use the same product Robert installed on his Cybertruck to protect themselves.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Phil from New Jersey, writes…
“I have hit my head on the corners so many times I can't even count, probably because I have brain damage from repeated blows.
When you guys get this product, let me know if it's any good. I still have the OEM ones, but want to see if there's any advantage to these.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Ace from Arizona, writes…
“You know what, my kids have hit their heads more than once on the tailgate edge corner when it’s open. Wonder if these would fit there too?”
A third Cybertruck owner, Danny from California, writes…
“Thank you so much. I'm 5'10" and got my bell rung on that corner as well. I'm ordering this immediately.”
Overall, a lot of Cybertruck owners seem happy to find a product to cover the sharp edges of the truck.

You knew it was a horrible vehicle before you bought it, yet you still purchased it? Why? Who does that, right?
