Lol. I bought a 1999 Silverado 6 years ago with 150k miles for 1500 dollars. It now has 282000 miles on it. Original engine and trans. Although I did have to spend about 40 bucks in parts to replace the 3/4 clutch pack frictions and spent about 15 hours of my own time to R&R the trans and install the parts. As a mechanic for over 37 years, I can honestly say that in my opinion, pretty much all the vehicles produced within the past 10 to 15 years are absolute junk. Including the Japanese ones. Hopefully you people with more dollars than sense (cents) keep doing what you do best.... Trying to one up the neighbors lmao!

I've had a 2012 Silverado since new. Have 160,000 km's on it . I've babied this truck for 12 years, with only a new fuel pump and oil pressure sensor replacement. Truck was oiled every year. Heard a trump in the left rear .
Found out the cheap Chinese steel they used rusted the support rails out and the top of frame. Anyone need a clean body!!

I have been a loyal Ford Super Duty fleet owner for over 35 years. My latest F350 just had a CP4 explosion which seized the 6.7L and bent a rod. I am now out of pocket $24K for repairs and Ford offers nothing but crickets.

2019 F 150 I sold back to dealership 4 years ago now. 1 year and 11,000 easy hwy miles 10 speed trans shifted terribly. Variable valve timing on the Gen 3 coyote was a nightmare. Computer reprogrammed twice without remedy to pre-ignition pinging. 4 camshafts and an EPA nightmare. My brother in-law lost his transmission at 60 k with the F450 he bought new and serviced on time at dealership. More easy hwy miles on the heavy truck. I also have a good friend who has always been a Chevy man, but no longer. He lost his transmission at 60 k also in his wife's grocery getter 2500 Silverado. Truck was pampered and yet stranded them. EPA needs to payback the consumer for the nightmare they've created in our manufacturer's. And get Chinese 50 percent control out of GM.
