Toyota White Blizzard Pearl Support Program Phase 1 Notification
Toyota began notifying owners last year in the fall. The owners of Toyotas with white or blizzard pearl paint received a letter notifying them of the upcoming support.

Phase 2 - Repair
Toyota's second phase will consist of a repair made by your local dealer at no cost to you. Any authorized Toyota Dealership can determine if a condition is covered by this Customer Support Program, not just the one from which the vehicle was purchased.

Contact your dealer if you have an affected vehicle. They will tell you the schedule and plan for repairs to your vehicle. I have a 2008 Highlander with paint peel issues on the hood and front bumper. It is an absolute eyesore. I called Toyota headquarters and was informed that even though the paint used is blizzard pearl 070, the Highlander is not covered in the voluntary recall. It doesn’t make sense that it’s a defective paint, yet not all models are included In the recall. Toyota headquarters could not give a specific reason for it not being included and stated their is nothing I can do. I’m now looking into the class action suit in regards to this suit. I have been a Toyota owner for close to 40 years. It is a shame they are not taking care of this problem.

I have contacted the dealership and Toyota customer service about my 2013 Toyota Highlander with Blizzard Pearl paint. It is peeling terrible around the windshield. It been going on for over a year and the response I received was it was not covered and was up to me to fix it!

I have a 2013 Highlander Limited. A few weeks ago we noticed an area by the window where the paint had peeled. Blizzard white. The body shop told us to check since there had been recalls. Same paint but we aren’t covered? Why?

I have a 2013 toyota highlander limited in blizzard pearl the paint is all peeled off or close to it around the windshield frame and on other areas of the car. Why have they excluded the highlanders?

We own a 2012 highlander in the blizzard pearl paint. Also around the windshield the paint is coming off in big spots. Toyota said it’s not in the recall and it’s on us to fix. May as well be a Kia!!!

We have a 2011 highlander and the blizzard white paint is peeling in sheets off the top of the car. I love this highlander , but seriously doubt I would get another ... why would Toyota not include the highlander ! Very poor customer service !

I own a 2012 Toyota Sequoia with the same Blizzard Pearl paint, the paint has been peeling off horribly in the last three years. Toyota refuses to acknowledge that Sequoias are also victims of this poor paintwork. I just got off the phone with TCS and they just basically said "they didn't care", the vehicle is out of warranty, sorry if you thought that investing over 50k in Toyota was a smart decision, think best the next time you buy a car. what a shame! it used to be a good car manufacturer. I feel sorry for those that work there every day answering their phones and having to lie to us all, the paint work from toyota is inferior quality! Buyers beware, put your money elsewhere!

I live in Jamaica and bought a 2008 pearl white Toyota prado from Toyota Jamaica and have been trying for the last 6 years for them to repair the peeling paint but to no avail. I have even reached out to Toyota International and Mr. Akia Toyoda, the president but I am still being stonewalled by Toyota Jamaica. How can you help?

I have a 2015 Highlander XLE with Blizzard Pearl. The paint is peeling off top of car between windshield and sunroof. Took it into local Toyota dealer and was told it's the same problem with the paint as other models and it's not on list. Told to call Toyota Customer Service which I did. Rep said that Highlander isn't on the list as being affected and it's not assigned to my VIN number. Was given a case number. Nothing that Toyota can or will do. It's ridiculous, the company should know that the paint process is defective for Blizzard Pearl since numerous customers have complained about it irregardless of the model.

I have a 2016 Corolla, white. Took car in without the letter they sent home to my local dealership after calling ahead and asking what to do about the paint recall. Went to the dealership's body shop at the appointed time, filled out some paperwork, then walked outside with someone to inspect my vehicle for the peeling of paint, of which he found on all panels. I'm receiving a full body repaint next week, expected turn around time is 5 business days. I am dropping my car off on Monday, and Toyota is lending me a rental until my car is ready, all at no cost. I do have to front a $50 deposit on the rental of which I'll get back when I return the vehicle. So nothing outlandish, and looking forward to new paint.

I have a 2009 RAV that has less than 61,000 miles. The colour is the pearl white. Today June 27th, 2020 the service writer at Toyota noticed paint chipping off my roof. This car is professionally washed and waxed and always well cared for.
Received 2 recall notices.
Will see what Toyota says.

I was sent the recall information on my 2014 Corolla in 2018 and waited until the approval was cleared to have my car re-painted due to the flaw/recall. Needless to say, I have emails from Toyota Customer Experience confirming the approval yet here I am in 2020 still waiting . The dealerships just keep putting it off what's the deal here ?

2008 gx470 pearl white peeling paint here. Took it to dealership in Maryland, who confirmed It was definitely a manufacturer defect after performing a strip testing all around the car. Got approved to have my vehicle painted. Dropped of car June 1. Got a call by dealership next day to come pick up my car. Dealership made clerical error in documentating and filling my VIN#. GM of dealership refused to take responsibility for their negligence and don't return my calls or emails. I'm stuck with a hideous car with peeling paint all over. Lexus Corporate aware and refuse to do anything about it. Shame. What do I do?.

I have a 2013 Highlander with Blizzard Pearl paint that is currently peeling in two separate spots. One spot is on the roof and the other is on the driver side post of the windshield. The spots are all the way down to the metal.

I took it to my local dealer and was told it was not covered by the recall because it was not painted at a specific location.

I took it to 4 different auto body shops and they all agree that it is a paint application problem and suggested I go back to the dealer.

I don't understand what difference it makes where the car is made. It's apparently the paint that is the problem.

I am still pursuing all options. Is anyone aware of a class action suit for this particular problem?

I have a 2008 Rav4 with Blizzard White paint that is peeling in 3 different places. I was told today by Toyota Canada that my VIN is not one of those included in the recall...no explanation why. Very disappointed:(

My 2012 Toyota Tacoma’s white paint started pealing a year ago, it’s between both doors by the windows and under the hood. It has been kept in garage until last year. I couldn’t figure out why the paint would bubble and chip of in that area. I just kept touching it up. I contacted the Toyota dealer and was told it was not one in the recall. But after looking at other vehicles like mine it is doing the same thing.

I have a 2016 Toyota Camry SE with Blizzard Pearl paint and a huge spot near my passenger side windshield peeled off recently!! It's literally down to the bare metal!! How would I go about getting a recall letter if I just bought the car from a Toyota dealership?
