There are some pictures and concept images of what the Model 3 Project Highland will look like.

Model 3 - Project Highland Concept

There are some of the latest concept image renderings of what the Model 3 will look like when it undergoes its Project Highland makeover. They look good!

Tesla may return the Model 3 LR AWD - which was removed from the Tesla online website store. This vehicle had 358 miles of range and was a dual-motor variant.

Tesla may do its Project Highland with this vehicle, and what remains to be seen is when the vehicle will come back to the store. It could be Q3 or Q4 of this year.

If Tesla releases that variant again, will the price of it come down? I think it will have to as the Model 3 RWD has gone down to $39,900 and is as affordable as a Toyota Corolla over a 7-year period of use.

When Is It Coming?

If the Model 3 LR AWD does come back this year, it will be an attractive option for those looking for a lot of range on the vehicle. Tesla won't be able to price it too close to the Model 3 RWD, however, otherwise it will cannibalize sales of that vehicle.

How much will the Tesla Model 3 long range cost in 2023? I believe it will cost around $47,900. This makes it an incentive enough for people to distinguish it from the Model 3 RWD with LFP batteries.

An $8,000 price different for more range - but remember, the car does not utilize LFP batteries and suffers more when charging to 100%.

There was a leak back on March 23, 2023, that showed prices of Tesla vehicles, but it was in Canadian dollars. It showed the Model 3 RWD at 54,990 CAD and the Model 3 LR at 67,990. This is a USD equivalent of $40,311 and $49,891.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Model 3 LR back for sale - it has been a while since it was available for purchase.

Do you think Project Highland will be a revamp of the Model 3 LR AWD?
