Tesla is preparing to start delivering the more affordable $59,990 Cybertruck, with several customer-ordered units spotted at Tesla service centers nationwide.

The first person to notice the cheaper Cybertruck variant at a Tesla location was Chris Zednanref, who shared it in the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.

He wrote…

“$59k Cybertrucks are starting to roll out. I saw a couple of these at our local Daytona, Florida Tesla location.”

Below his post, Chris included a photo of the cheaper Cybertruck parked at a Tesla service center.

As you can see, the truck features the controversial 18-inch Molten wheels, which were introduced with the budget-friendly Cybertruck variant.

This is an exciting development, as the more affordable Cybertruck version has generated significant interest among Tesla fans.

We have reported that demand for this Cybertruck model is so high that Tesla has announced the truck is sold out until 2027.

However, despite all the excitement surrounding this truck, Chris Zednanref doesn’t seem to be a big fan of the compromises Tesla made to lower the starting price of the Standard All-Wheel-Drive Cybertruck.

Chris pointed out the missing key features, such as the smaller and arguably less attractive design wheels and the absence of air suspension.

Chris continues to write...

“I'm glad I picked up a Premium Cybertruck. The wheels, suspension, and the cheap seats are not my cup of tea.”

Having already bought the more expensive Premium All-Wheel-Drive version of the Cybertruck, Chris doesn’t seem to be excited about the $59,990 Cybertruck.

However, despite his reservations, most Tesla followers appear enthusiastic about the truck.

Another Tesla enthusiast, Patrick, from North Carolina, says he has spotted another Stanard All-Wheel-Drive Cybertruck at his local Tesla service station.

Patrick shared his encounter on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.

He writes…

“Base model Cybertruck at Tesla Northlakes, NC”

Below his post, Patrick shared several images of the Standard AWD Cybertruck parked at the Tesla service center.

You'll notice, along with the 18-inch Molten wheels, Patrick also took several pictures of the interior, showing the cloth seats.

The compromises Tesla made to lower the starting price of the Standard All-Wheel Drive Cybertruck make it easier to differentiate from the other Cybertruck variants.

However, despite the compromises, looking at the comments, Tesla enthusiasts shared their excitement about the vehicle.

A fellow Tesla enthusiast, Christopher Dierauer, writes…

“At $60K, the Standard Cybertruck is a bargain! The cloth seats can be replaced with heated and ventilated leather, the sound system is an easy upgrade for a few grand, and you can get the same 20" wheels as the Premium Cybertruck.

The suspension, although not air suspension, is ADAPTIVE—similar to what Cadillac equips its Escalades with.

For $60K, show me another vehicle that has everything the Cybertruck offers—it still has 4-wheel steering, steer-by-wire, FSD, vault, independent suspension, the same range and motors as the Premium Cybertruck, and an exoskeleton.

It's an incredible truck for the money.”

Another Tesla enthusiast, Darien Rizo, writes…

“To each their own. First of all, the seats are not cheap — cloth seats will age far better.

Two: bigger tires with smaller wheels = better ride quality, and the adaptive coil suspension is more than adequate and a fraction of the cost to replace when the bags for the air suspension leak, because they will.

The only major negative I see is the cheap sound system, but I'll fix that with an aftermarket upgrade.”

Another Tesla enthusiast, George Philips, writes…

“Looks GREAT inside and out. The 18” wheels look more like they're from Mars!”

A fourth Cybertruck fan, Tim Turner, writes…

“Tesla has two SAWD Cybertrucks on the lot. I sat in it, looked it over, and was very impressed considering the price. The seats didn't look bad. I wasn't completely sure until I saw it in person. I hope with the Feb 21 order, I can take delivery sometime this year.”

Overall, Tesla fans seem excited about the Standard AWD Cybertruck. However, please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the red “Add new comment” button below. Also, be sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
