Ask any Tesla Cybertruck Owner What They Think About Their Truck, and "Tens of Thousands Will Tell You the Same Thing"

What do Tesla Cybertruck owners think about their controversial trucks? It's a question owners will answer, not what you think. Yes, there are a few negative comments, but the vast majority have a very different take on the new electric truck.

"Imagine believing the internet over thousands of Tesla Cybertruck owners."

Marcus Reno, who owns a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, said that. I wrote a previous story about Marcus, which you can read here, where he says the negativity revolving around the controversial Cybertruck is fueling interest in Tesla

In his recent post on the Tesla Cybertruck Talk Facebook page, Marcus says,

"Imagine being the kind of person who thrives on negativity and fully believes the massive, coordinated efforts to discredit something—despite real-world facts and ownership proof constantly debunking it."

"You can ask any Cybertruck owner what they think about their truck, and tens of thousands will tell you the same thing." Here are three common things owners are saying:

  • It's amazing.
  • It's one of the best vehicles they've ever owned.
  • It's by far the best daily-driver truck ever produced.

Are All Cybertruck Owners Previous Tesla Owners?

No. Marcus says, "Most Cybertruck owners have owned multiple trucks and cars—Ford F-150s, Dodge Ram 1500s, Toyota Tundras, Ford Raptors, GMC Denalis, and everything in between. Yet somehow, we're supposed to ignore their firsthand experience and instead believe some guy on TikTok or Facebook who's never even sat in one?"

"Because Jim Bob or a political content creator watched a 30-second video packed with misleading, regurgitated negativity? They must know best, right? Just look at the effort to bad-mouth the Cybertruck from every angle."

There's Plenty of Fake News

"The sheer number of bots, trolls, and fake accounts constantly repeating the same false claims is nothing short of desperate. The goal? Keep people from wanting to know the truth," he says.

And Yet, All That Negativity is Backfiring

Marcus continues, "All of this negativity has actually driven more curiosity. People want to see for themselves. The more outrageous the hate, the more questions people have. And the reality becomes very clear once they take the time to see a Cybertruck, talk to an owner, or take a test drive. They've been misled. Badly."

"Now, let's be honest—the Cybertruck isn't for everyone. It's a high-tier truck; not every buyer needs or wants that. But you will start seeing them on every street when the lower-priced models drop, with over a million reservation holders still in line. And then, people will finally understand."

Kids Love the Cybertruck

I recently wrote a piece on the Cybertruck titled Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says, "I Picked My Kids Up at School, and a Group of Students Ran Up To Look Screaming CYBERTRUCK! I Was Expecting the Worst

What happened to Travis Stalkier surprised him because he was expecting a different outcome. I found his post on the Tesla Cybertruck Owner's Facebook page.

In Michigan, where he lives, it's been cold, and the students haven't been outside, but today was different.

As it begins to thaw out in the Midwest and the temperatures are warmer, the students were outside his kid's school when he picked them up, and when they saw the Cybertruck, it was a mad dash to take a look. What happened to him and his kids was a total shock.

Travis says,

"Yesterday was the first day all the students were outside when I picked up my six-year-old from school. We are in Michigan, and it's been too cold, but it's warming up now. At least 12 kids ran to the fence screaming, "CYBERTRUCK!" I was expecting the worst. They LOVED it."

"They wanted to know who's dad I was. They asked for a ride. They wanted to know every detail about what it looked like inside. How fast it goes. When did I get it? It was so cool."

That's just one of many Cybertruck stories.

Erdal Calgary purchased his Cybertruck on April 26, 2024, and his life has changed. He describes it as a "transformative experience." How many car owners can say that?

Erdal says,

"Since April 2024, driving my Cybertruck has been a transformative experience, reshaping my daily commute and outlook on life."

"The sleek, futuristic design and powerful performance have elevated my driving experience to new heights—each journey feels like a glimpse into the future."

Cybertruck owner Michael Foreman says, "I waited from day 1 and received the Foundation series about five months ago in Hawaii. Have been very impressed with its handling and ease of parking. Have been learning to trust the self-driving and parking."

"It's generally a much safer driver than me. I'm getting a bridge to be a backup power source for my house. I've not had negative experiences in maintenance or handling or from individuals. Kids and moms love it. I'm pleased I bought it."

Marcus says, Cybertruck Owners, Chime in!

He says, "Drop your experiences in the comment section below. Let's help those still trying to separate facts from the noise."

"And if you're still unsure, do some research. Start by searching my other articles and reading the comments from actual owners. Then, ask a few Cybertruck owners yourself. The truth is out there—you have to want to find it."

By the way, in light of Tesla's falling sales the company has a backup plan in China. Here is how Tesla plans to combat fierce competition in China, which you can watch in this video from the Torque News Youtube channel.

The Cyber truck is the ugliest vehicle ever sold. It's not futuristic, it's retro. It looks like the triangle cars from the 70's which was a futuristic design 50 years ago, talk about a muddled design, that's being nice really. Of course, the owners love it. They bought it to look cool; how's that working out, Edsel?

I have a Cybertruck and weekly use it to transport donated food from local stores to the local food bank. Also using it with a winch to pull stumps. It is a truck and does truck things. It's also very comfortable and has very high crash test scores. BTW In the Ca crash with college students it was found that they had alcohol and cocaine in their blood.

Yeah and one guy immolated himself in front of a hotel with a Cybertruck rental. These events have nothing to do with the issue for me. The stupid design decisions that have no concern for safety bother me: glue dependent panels and components that take on mechanical stresses, steering with no mechanical backup, doors that have potential to lock in the passengers during a crash, software glitches, and over-promises. I'm glad you have enjoyed your vehicle thus far. I just don't see it lasting for you and getting what is expected from a normal vehicle lifespan.

It is extremely easy to tell you are lying when you say you are pulling stumps with it. I have tractors, excavators and other heavy machinery and the are designed to remove stumps and don't do it as easily as you claim your cyber truck does. A cyber truck has a unibody and no frame which is more proof that you are lying.

Hello, I loaded 2 tons of gravel in my cyber truck. I pulled out many stumps pulls them out with ease. I would like to get a snow plow for the front and whole family loves the cyber truck. We go out for hotdogs on a Sunday in the cyber truck. I’ve used my cyber truck in off-road expeditions. Nothing it can’t do. Safe to with the crash test ratings and also the vehicle can drive itself so my 9 year old Son can sit in the driver seat and feel like he’s driving on our vacations. Sometimes those long drives I let him take over but be responsible of course and let the vehicle do the driving for him so you don’t crash I mean he’s 9 right? It’s so nice I want to buy a second one just to have on hand. I think if I had two cyber trucks, my wife could drive one and we could race and stuff. It would be so much fun. She would have a blast.

Cybertrucks may well be good vehicles. I do not own one, but I do own a Christian conscience, which means I will never own a Tesla. Tesla is owned by Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and a recent White House appointee. One of Elon's first actions as head of DOGE was to end USAID, an agency that sends lifesaving food and medicine to some of the world's poorest and most medically threatened children.
Let's be clear; The richest man in the world is killing the world's most vulnerable children. Can there be any clearer definition of the word "evil"?

I have a Christian conscience also and agree with ending USAID. We aren't decreasing the suffering with the hundreds of billions of $$$ in food, medicine, doctors, vaccines, cash, et al. For every one million people savetd today, you'll end up with 20 million people suffering 20 years from now. Let them figure it out on their own, we need to stop meddling in the affairs of other countries and fix our huge $36 trillion debt. If they spent more time working, they'd have less time to be making hungry mouths to feed. Africa has the highest birth rate of ANY continent in the world and the world is being their enabler. I don't know how a Christian can support increasing suffering.

USAID was also funding coups of foreign governments. Everyone in govt has blood on their hands.

Better to teach a man to fish than give him the fish. It’s not the job of the US to provide medical care for all of the world’s sick (and most of the money gets siphoned off along the way to the intended recipients). So please check your premise my brother in Christ

If they are so great, why are new ones sitting on lots corroding away? Why have the prices been repeatedly cut, to no avail? Why won't dealers take used ones on trade? The market doesn't lie.

Jay (not verified)    March 15, 2025 - 11:50PM

Best vehicle I have ever driven, hands down. Mine is a beast with about 8k miles on it. Speed, stability, maneuverability, ride comfort, towing power, looks, electronics, FSD, audio, etc. are all exceptional. I’ve been unaffected by recalls, no failures of any kind, and it gets better with every software update. I can and have complained about a few things on the forum, but that’s because nothing is 100% perfect and I don’t go to forums to tell people how happy I am, I go there for solutions. That’s likely true for a lot of people, which probably further amplifies the negativity. Thanks for writing this article.

I have to say that I have heard this from 95% of the people I have talked to on the subject. I work adjacent to a Tesla facility and see CTs daily. Almost everyone at work and all of our visitors from all over the globe agree, and most have a very low opinion of the design. Exactly one colleague is in favor of the design, and had one on reservation until the price went way up. They canceled the reservation.

>> Yet somehow, we're supposed to ignore their firsthand experience and instead believe some guy on TikTok or Facebook who's never even sat in one?"

Apparently not. We are supposed to believe some guy calling himself Marcus who exaggerates statistics on this website instead. So much more credible.

I own a +25 year old gasoline truck, an 5 speed manual F150. It’s been nonstop maintenance for me, everything from replacing a water pump, clutch R&R, front brake job, lots of other repairs to numerous to include here. But the point is that I can keep it running over the years. No one can say that with a cyber truck yet. The first one was sold and delivered a few years ago. Will it stand the test of time?

I minimize my carbon footprint by using a bike(one electric and one pedal only) to make short trips generally under 5 miles.

Joseph Blough (not verified)    March 16, 2025 - 9:27AM

I did not know it was possible to give a car a blowjob until I read this article. I have 2 questions: Did you swallow? Did it taste like brake fluid?

Luke (not verified)    March 16, 2025 - 9:37AM

Finally an article telling the true story of Cybertruck ownership! I have to have this same discussion with every curious person who comes up to me when I park the truck. Yes, it’s safe! Yes, I absolutely love it! Don’t believe the nonsense you read on the internet of idiots trying to discredit Musk out of political motivation. This is absolutely the best vehicle we have ever owned. We even prefer it to driving my wife’s model X. This is a phenomenal vehicle!!!!

Bry (not verified)    March 16, 2025 - 10:44AM

So do a real article on comparison of usefulness. I would never consider driving this through the Forest in my land. No way to get in touch with a tow if it gets buried, waiting for downloads to change settings, low load capacity. Why didn't you just say you received kick back to write this article? The actual users of a "cyber truck" are the ingrates who could actually get through their lives with a car. Can I pull a cattle hauler with fifteen head in it with this "truck"? "Oh I love my cyber truck!" "A bunch of kids ran up screaming" How does that help discern payload, gear radios or anything else pertinent to those who actually need a useful truck? Torque News? Out of where, Hollywood California? Just proved what a useless un News source you are. While I'm at it, how much Tesla pay you to write such a biased lame article? Spec to spec comparison be a lot more useful "Torque" News.

Melinda Shaw (not verified)    March 16, 2025 - 11:14AM

The truth is that none of this matters.

This "truck" could cost $100, be lined in real gold, and do my grocery shopping for me, and I still wouldn't buy it. Musk has alienated his primary customer base, tainting this brand irreparably and they will not forget. Sales will decline to near nothing, making the company unsustainable.

Resale has already taken a nosedive with many dealers reporting they've stopped taking them in trade because they can't sell them. And since they are the only company that can repair them, good luck with maintenance once they're out of business.

Jonestown Flavoraid is the best, who are you going to believe, the Internet or thousands of Jonestown residents!

Kravon (not verified)    March 16, 2025 - 11:35AM

It is the ugliest vehicle ever made. I would purchase a Pontiac Aztec before buying that horrendous looking swasticar.
