Tesla Cybertruck owners are having fun at the expense of a GM truck owner who says he’s tired of his $100,000 truck that breaks down every time and needs to always get towed.
The owner of the Chevy Silverado EV was frustrated by the many breakdowns and wrote a post asking GM to buy back his truck.
The Chevy owner writes…
“I guess it was my turn for the whole thing to just DIE. Dear GMC, I'll take this post down if you buy back my truck. If you don't buy it back, I'm leaving this post up FOREVER.
I’m beyond pissed. I have way better things to do with my very valuable time than to babysit a $100,000 truck with ENDLESS trips to the dealer.”
Below his post, the Chevy owner shared a picture of his Chevy Silverado EV on a dolly getting towed to the dealer.
So far, all the complaints were posted in a Chevy group; however, a Cybertruck owner, Torrey Walker from Utah, shared a screenshot of the whole exchange on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.
Torrey shared a screenshot of the Chevy owner's complaint, simply writing “interesting.”
By the way, before we move forward you need to know that Tesla recently made something seemingly impossible, by making the Cybertruck looking cheap, using the Model X. How? Look at this fresh video from the Youtube Channel of Torque News.
Given the well-documented issues with Cybertruck reliability, one would assume Cybertruck owners would at least understand the plight of the Chevy Silverado owner.
However, the post got a lot of attention, and Cybertruck owners proceeded to relentlessly make fun of the Chevy truck that breaks down often.
The highest-rated comment on the Cybertruck owners group even went so far as to suggest that General Motors, Ford, & Doge don’t have as good engineers as Tesla does.
A Cybertruck owner, Clinton Milteer, says all the A-list engineers from the best schools always chose Tesla, and the remaining truck makers only manage to attract 'B' & 'C' players.
Clinton writes…
“The sad truth is that Ford, Dodge, and Chevy are engineered and made by the B&C players. Tesla gets all the 1st round draft picks from the top universities every year.
Cybertruck is a computer-on-wheels rolling marvel of technology. Tesla's software is light-years ahead of them all. Nothing compares. Let the haters hate. ELON and Tesla for the win!🏆”
Several Cybertruck owners echoed Clinton’s sentiment.
A Cybertruck owner, Bill Rowen writes…
“I don’t even call my Cybertruck a truck. I refer to it as my “User Transport Device.”
This was the prevailing sentiment amongst Cybertruck owners. Having said that, there were a few voices of reason in the group who shared that their Cybertrucks have also experienced several failures.
In response to all the gloating by fellow Cybertruck owners, Sergio Rodriguez writes…
“My Cybertruck has been on a couple of tow trucks. Let’s not do this.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Steve Murray, in response to the Chevy truck failures, writes, “Yep, been there done that.”
Steve then shares a picture of his matt green wrapped Cybertruck being loaded onto a tow truck.
These were some of the dissenting voices among the Tesla community; however, other Cybertruck owners were quick to point out the issues with other trucks and crown the Cybertruck as the undisputed champion.
One Cybertruck owner, Jaci Jirik, referring to General Motors writes…
“Well, his first problem is he bought a vehicle from Government Motors.”
Overall, it’s interesting to see how Cybertruck owners are reacting to a GM truck that breaks down a lot.

Tesla may lead the pack in terms of self
driving, range, and the “techie stuff”, but far from “A” class quality, fit and finish, road feel, and true driving experience. Definitely not “A” class engineers in that regard. Sorry Tesla people! Probably will never be close to the pinnacle of automotive engineering in that regard.

At least the GM, Ford and Dodge truck owners trucks look good af otw to the dealer for repairs. So, imho, Tesla truck owners seemingly have had to pay more or at best around the same for their trucks from their "A" engineers have a bigger issue that can't be resolved no matter how many trips to the dealer their trucks have to make. They're ugly af!

Funny... A simple stats search shows definitively that the gm variants, the silverado and sierra ev, and even the Hummer ev if you wish to include it, have been leaps and bounds, far more reliable than the cyber truck... All based on irrefutable, actual data... Not just some random miffed chad chud. Who is likely doing a user error...
