Elon Musk Questions Ongoing Anti-Tesla Cybertruck Sentiment Following His Fallout With President Trump – Asks, “What Are They Even Mad About at This Point?”

Elon Musk says he doesn’t understand why there is still hostility towards the Tesla Cybertruck, especially considering his falling out with President Donald Trump. Musk remarked, “What are they even mad about at this point?”

Elon Musk expresses confusion about the ongoing negative sentiment towards the Tesla Cybertruck, especially since he has distanced himself from the Trump administration and had a highly publicized disagreement with the U.S. president.

Musk made these comments in response to Teslarati, which reported on the differing sentiments regarding the Cybertruck between older individuals and children.

After driving a Cybertruck over the weekend, Teslarati reports that older people hurl insults when they see the Cybertruck; however, children get excited and wave at the all-electric truck.

Teslarati writes…

“Old weirdos, when they see a Cybertruck: middle finger

Kids, when they see a Cybertruck, they wave

That’s my biggest takeaway from driving this truck this weekend.”

Below the publication’s post, Teslarati included a picture of a Cybertruck with the doors open, parked at a public parking lot.

Given Teslarati’s negative Cybertruck experience came after Elon Musk's official departure from the Trump administration and his major falling out with the U.S. president, Musk responded by saying he doesn’t understand why there is still negativity toward the Cybertruck among liberals.

Musk replied to Teslarati’s post, writing…

“What are they even mad about at this point?

It is sad to see how many people just believe what they read.”

What’s interesting here is that, regrettably, Musk appears to have alienated the left with his support for Donald Trump.

However, now, following his fallout with the president, the left still dislikes him, and some in the right have also turned against him.

This is definitely not an enviable place for Elon Musk and Tesla.

Following Musk’s fallout with President Donald Trump, many Tesla investors believe this fundamentally alters Tesla's valuation.

Tesla’s share price has continued to soar despite two consecutive years of declining deliveries and shrinking profits.

One reason for the optimism surrounding Tesla, despite the EV maker’s disappointing financial results and delivery numbers, was the belief that the Trump administration would help facilitate Tesla’s launch of autonomous vehicles.

A large portion of Tesla investors believe that the upcoming robotaxi service will be a more lucrative business for Tesla compared to selling electric vehicles.

One point of interest here is that if the GOP’s Big Beautiful Bill passes, it will centralize autonomous vehicle regulation at the federal level, removing oversight from the states.

This means an adversarial White House can impose roadblocks on Tesla’s Robotaxi launch.

This is definitely concerning; however, a glimmer of hope for Tesla is that, for now, the feud between Musk and Donald Trump appears to be cooling off.

However, on the negative side, Elon Musk appears to have lost support from the left and is now also losing support from the right.
