Indian Minister Told Tesla to Start Car Production ASAP

Indian Minster Gadkari urges Tesla to start car production ASAP in the country

We have a new update on Tesla's Gigafactory in India as the country's Minister of Road Transport Urged Tesla to Start Production in the Country ASAP.

Today Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari, speaking at Raisina Dialogue 2021, said that he urged electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to start production of its vehicles in India as soon as possible. I don't know why India wants Tesla to start a Gigafactory in in the country ASAP. May be there is a reason for this urge.

Gadkari said that during a conversation with the company's management, he assured that the government would help the company create industrial clusters in the country. In addition, the Minister said the company could develop its own vendors and export vehicles from India, Tesmanian reports.

However, Gadkari added that Tesla has yet to give guarantees to start production in India, although said it will start selling its vehicles in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
