8 Things to Love About 2019 Toyota Highlander

Whether you are a Toyota Highlander owner or in the market for a new car, many 2019 Highlander features make this a perfect choice for you and your family. Did your favorites make the list?

The demand for family SUV vehicles has been steadily rising over the past several months. Car shoppers are faced with many solid choices in this crowded segment, including RAV4 and Highlander. The 2019 Toyota Highlander is loaded with great benefits concerning safety, technology and convenience. These options, along with its reputation as an ideal family vehicle make Highlander a great choice.

Based on my feedback working with car shoppers over the last 13 years, I’ve compiled my list of favorite features people have said they like most about 2019 Toyota Highlander (plus a few favorite things of my own):

The Drive! It’s smooth. It’s quiet. It’s comfortable. Families looking to road trip it will appreciate the Highlander. With a low amount of road noise and its smooth gliding drive on highways, Highlander makes for an excellent commuter or long road trip family SUV.

Plenty of trim choices. Highlander offers many levels of trims (LE, LE Plus, XLE, Limited and Limited Platinum), giving families the opportunity to match up their desired features across all budget levels.

Versatility with drive systems. Depending on your needs, you can select front-wheel drive, an on-demand all-wheel drive, and the hybrid, which offers all-wheel drive with intelligence. There are options for you across all types of driving conditions and locations you will encounter.

Stop and Start Engine System. Car buyers on the hunt for better mpg will like this feature. When stopped at traffic lights, the engine will cut off while you wait. You will save on fuel, pause releasing emissions and enjoy a quieter cabin during these times.

Smart Shelf Storage. Clever engineering produced this useful storage shelf that spans from under the multimedia screen to the edge of the passenger dash. It’s an ideal place to store your phone, keys and wallet.

2 Seat options for middle row. You can choose either second row captain chairs with a walkway to the third row or a second row bench seat. This gives you the choice of seven or eight passenger capacity.

Nightshade! The SE trim is available in the Nightshade Special Edition Package. This adds dramatic black accents to the exterior, such as black badging, side mirror covers, gloss black wheels and roof accents. This package definitely makes a statement.

Voted one of Best Family Cars! Kelley Blue Book listed their Top 12 Best Family Cars for 2019, and Toyota Highlander landed squarely on this list. KBB calls it “a reliable, functional, financially savvy choice.”

So, is the new Toyota Highlander made and sold in the style and design of the RAV4? Is that fair to say Jeff?

Looks like the Highlander has a great trailer. I saw a trailer like that at the Denver RV show in March. It was marketed for back country and hunters. I don't remember the brand, but I think it cost about $30K. I bought a new 21 foot travel trailer that is far more comfortable for less than $20K.
