Foundation Series Cybertrucks

When you take delivery of a Foundation Series Cybertruck, you are taking delivery of a "special" Cybertruck that is not going to be like most of the Cybertrucks that eventually get delivered.

There is no word if this is the first 1,000 or 10,000, but at some point, the Foundation Series orders will end. Each order can be for an AWD or Cyberbeast and each is $20,000 more than the normal price.

Thus, an AWD Foundation Series is about $100,000. If you decide to get the Cybertruck that beat a Porsche-911 in a race while towing a Porsche-911, that is a Cyberbeast Foundation Series Cybertruck and is about $120,000.

The Foundation Series Cybertrucks come with a bunch of extras, including laser engravings and, for the Cyberbeast, a 3-headed Cerberus engraving etched on it.

Other Foundation Series Cybertruck owners have had other engravings done on their truck, such as Alexis Cohanian engraving an "LA" on his.

The Extras You Get With a Foundation Series Cybertruck

Here are all the extras you get with a Foundation Series Cybertruck. I've compiled this from multiple sources on X and added in their cost.

Base Costs:

  • Base Cost: ~ $80,000 (AWD) or $100,000 (Cyberbeast)
  • Foundation Series Premium: $20,000

Estimates for Add-Ons:

  • FSD (2019 Price - for early locked in orders): $7,000
  • White interior upgrade: $1,000
  • Upgraded 20 inch Cyberwheels with 35-inch tires: $3,000
  • Universal Wall Connector: $595
  • Mobile Powershare Connector: $230
  • Tesla PowerShare backup gateway: $1,800
  • PowerShare installation: AWD: -$4,000; Cyberbeast: $0
  • All-weather liners: $295
  • Glass sunshade: $115
  • Center console tray: $40
  • L track hooks: $25
  • L track bottle opener: $25
  • D-rings: $40
  • Gear locker divider: $45
  • Light bar: $600
  • Lifetime premium connectivity: $1,000 ($100 per year for 10 years)

These are estimates only, but many of these are taken directly from current prices and in the case of FSD, early reservation price in 2019.

The total here is $14,910 for a Cyberbeast and $10,910 for an AWD. If you are getting an AWD Foundation Series Cybertruck, my understanding is that you must pay for your own PowerShare installation, whereas the Cyberbeast Foundation Series includes it free of charge.

The Cyberbeast is the winner here in total add-on value with over $14,000 worth of add-ons. The AWD version, is just over $10,000, which is still a lot of add-ons.

It appears the biggest add-ons you get with a Foundation Series Cybertruck order are lifetime FSD, lifetime premium connectivity, upgrade to a white interior, upgraded tires, a light bar, and PowerShare for using the Cybertruck as a mobile charger.

These are very nice add-ons, and it shows that Tesla is not simply up charging people $20,000 for their Cybertruck, although Tesla could charge a lot more for the Cybertruck right now due to the immense demand it has right now.
