Dan, a Cybertruck owner from California, says that his truck has caused him a lot of frustration over the past year.
He explains that since July of the previous year, he has had to take his truck to Tesla service three times. And today, it started flashing critical error messages while returning from a service appointment.
Dan says his wife took the vehicle to Tesla service due to various charging errors, including one stating “the truck is unable to charge.”
Interestingly, the truck wasn’t even plugged in when these errors appeared.
Tesla staff assured her it was simply a software issue and told her not to worry.
However, on the way home, the truck started to flash multiple critical warnings. This time the error was related to the low-voltage system and the rear axle.
So far, Dan reports he has replaced both the front and rear inverters due to reduced power output.
Later, the truck experienced the notorious PCS2 failure, which caused charging issues and limited charging speed to 24 amps instead of 48.
Despite multiple service visits, new issues keep arising, and now, Dan says the truck has become a real headache.
This is definitely not ideal, and Dan shared his frustrations on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…
“The past year has become quite troublesome with issues popping up. I have a Foundation Series Cybertruck we bought on Valentine's Day 2024. We've traveled over 33,000 miles.
July 8, 2025 - Replaced both front and rear drive inverters due to low propulsion issues.
Feb 26, 2026 - Started charging at 24 amps, and we had to replace the PCS2. It shows it has the new "G" model power conversion system.
Now, we’re getting critical errors one after another. We receive unable-to-charge errors even when the truck isn't plugged in.
Three times, we've seen the red critical error for the rear wheel axle. We took it in, and they said it was software-related, with an appointment scheduled for July 9, 2026.
On our way home yesterday, my wife encountered the rear axle error again. She reset the car twice and managed to get home, but this is becoming worrisome for us. Here are some of the errors that appeared.
Below his post, Dan included a picture of the multiple error messages currently on his center screen.
The error warnings read…
- “6:25 pm | PCS2_a051

- 6:24 pm | PEPS_a182

- Need a Service appointment? Schedule it
This is already bad enough; however, Dan says he tried to get Tesla to fix all these new issues, but he can’t get a service appointment for 3 weeks.
He writes…
“I’m trying to schedule a service visit once again. Nothing is available for 2/3 weeks. Trying to push Tesla to see it sooner since they just had it.”
This is definitely frustrating, and looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners had a few suggestions.
A fellow Cybertruck owner writes…
“Tesla might let you skip the line if you just show up at the service center since the truck was just in service. Not sure if it's worth it, though; it depends on how far away the service center is from you.
Another Cybertruck owner writes…
“You probably have an issue with your wiring harness.”
A third Cybertruck owner writes…
“I suspect if you don’t need a loaner vehicle, they’ll probably take it sooner.”
Overall, a lot of Cybertruck owners seem to still be facing reliability issues. However, please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the red “Add new comment” button below. Also, be sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
