In a truly bizarre sight, a Cybertruck was seen floating in the air, held up solely by electrical wires.
This fascinating scene was captured in the mountains of North Carolina, where the black-wrapped Cybertruck appeared to be gently suspended in mid-air.
The first person to share this incident was Aaron Zollo, who posted on X...
“A friend sent this picture from an accident this morning in the mountains of North Carolina. A Cybertruck must have hydroplaned off the road onto the support wire for a telephone pole.”
Below his post, Aron shared a photo of the scene, and as you can see, the Cybertruck is suspended above the ground, held up only by electric wires.
There are also rocks and dirt scattered around the area, and the road looks wet, suggesting it has been raining when the incident occurred.
Emergency services and crew are also on site, and the Cybertruck’s driver-side door is open.
Another surprising detail is that, despite being several feet off the ground, the vehicle doesn’t seem to be damaged at all.
Aron, the person who first shared the news, confirms that the driver was unharmed, stating...
“Obviously, no one was hurt.”
He also comments on the strength of the electric wires.
He writes...
“That cable is stronger than I thought.”
The Cybertruck has a gross vehicle weight of over 6,800 pounds, and it’s impressive that the cable has managed to suspend the truck in the air without breaking.
This is certainly a surprising outcome, and the unusual scene caused many Tesla enthusiasts to question the photo's authenticity.
One Tesla fan asks...
“Why does it feel AI-generated?”
Another fan responds...
“Your friend is joking with you. Where are the skid marks on the shoulder? And what's up with the bottom of the pole? Makes no sense.”
However, Aron confirms the image is real and invites others to see the Cybertruck up in the air firsthand.
He writes...
“It's not AI-generated. You could go there and see this for yourself now. I posted a few things from AI when Sora came out and disclosed it. Otherwise, I NEVER post AI-generated content without letting you know.”
And for the remaining Tesla fans who don’t doubt this was a real incident, they have chosen to go the humorous route.
Naturally, there were a lot of comments saying, “You can’t park there.”
A Tesla fan who goes by the username Teslavangelist writes...
“Talk about steer-by-wire!”
Another fan, Andrei Borodin, says...
“Cybertruck, I don't think that's how you are supposed to be charged.”
A third Tesla fan, Tryangle, comments:
“The real story is the electric cable. What kind of steel is that cable? I want to make some Damascus out of it!”
A fourth fan, Future is Tesla, jokes...
“From steer by wire to park by wire.”
Overall, Tesla fans seem amused by the whole situation. However, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
