Tesla Cybertruck Versus an Electric Military Humvee – Which One Can Bake Cookies in a Full-Sized Oven the Fastest

The Humvee, as it is more appropriately known, HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle), was once seen as the ultimate do-anything-go-anywhere vehicle.

The Humvee was made famous in the 1990s Gulf War as hours and hours of footage started airing showing the Humvee effortlessly cruising the desert terrain.

In 1998, GM bought the Humvee brand and produced the civilian variant, which debuted under the Hummer brand.

Fast forward a couple of decades, and the Hummer is now a fully electric brand, and with the launch of the Tesla Cybertruck, there is now a new kid in town to challenge for the most durable vehicle in the world title.

Several reviews already exist comparing the Tesla Cybertruck with the 1000-horsepower 2023 Hummer EV; however, how does the Cybertruck stuck up against the original Humvee?

Lucky for us, this question was answered by famed YouTuber Zack from the JerryRigEverything channel.

During his latest video, Zack pits the Tesla Cybertruck against a DIY Humvee that he personally converted to an electric powertrain.

What’s interesting here is that the electrified Humvee uses a lot of Tesla Model S parts, including the batteries, motors, and brakes.

So is it better to drive an electrified Humvee or buy an electric truck straight from Tesla with the Cybertruck? To save you the trouble, the answer is – no drum rolls are needed; the Cybertruck is definitely better.

However, a huge novelty and nostalgic component for the Humvee will definitely outweigh all of Cybertruck’s advancements for certain portions of society.

Having said that, going into the details, how do the two vehicles compare? When it comes to range, acceleration, tech, and comfort, the Cybertruck leaves the Humvee in the dust.

The Cybertruck also has some nice amenities not found in the Humvee, including a 120-volt and 240-volt outlet that can output as much as 9.6 KW of power, the ability to serve as backup power for your home, 4-wheel steering, and many more creature comforts.

However, it’s not all bad for the Humvee; if you compare things such as which vehicle has enough harnessing points to be dropped from an aircraft with a parachute or which vehicle is less likely to chop off your fingers by accident, the Humvee wins.

This is all wonderful for the Humvee; however, sadly for the 1990-era vehicle, the Cybertruck comes ahead when it comes to the most crucial of tests.

You are in the middle of nowhere, and you have a full-sized oven nearby and cookie dough on hand; which vehicle is able to bake the cookies the fastest?

The Cybertruck, using its 240-volt outlet, can achieve this feat in no time, whereas the Humvee, with no outlets to plugin your full-sized oven, falls flat on its face.

Although Zack from JerryRigEverything gave the victory to the Humvee, I have to crown the Cybertruck winner just for this one feature.
