Ugur Salli, a Cybertruck owner from Pennsylvania, shares that he recently visited an Amish farm to buy raw milk.

While at the settlement, Ugur struck up a conversation with an Amish farmer and said the Cybertruck had impressed the farmer.

Ugur mentions that, beyond the truck’s unique exterior, the farmer was especially impressed by the fact that it was fully electric and lacked a traditional engine under the hood.

Ugur seems happy to introduce the Cybertruck to the Amish settlement, and the satisfied Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.

He writes…

“Pennsylvania time warp!

I stopped at an Amish farm to pick up some raw milk. The farmer was amazed by the Cybertruck.

He couldn’t believe there was no traditional engine block under the hood.”

Below his post, Ugur included several pictures he had taken while at the Amish farm.

The pictures show the Cybertruck next to a horse-drawn carriage surrounded by barn structures and an Amish house.

Ugur tried to show the contrast between what he deems as the future of transportation, which is his Cybertruck, and the past, which is the Amish farmer’s carriage.

Introducing the Cybertruck to an Amish settlement seems interesting; however, looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners pushed back against Ugur’s claims that the Amish farmer was “blown away that there were no engine blocks.”

Several Cybertruck owners pointed out that the Amish use battery-powered electronic devices, and it wouldn’t be surprising at all for them to imagine a battery-powered vehicle.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Daniel Bass, writes…

“Some Amish can use solar and a battery bank for electricity. . . It's not too far a leap to an electric vehicle.

Maybe not as glitzy as a Cybertruck, but a black Model 3, definitely a Zooks!”

A second Cybertruck owner, Richard Clark, writes…

“The Amish have seen electric milk delivery floats before. Nothing new to them.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Jedrzej Sudak, writes…

“Like they have 'traditional engine blocks' under their hoods.”

In response, Ugur concedes that the Amish do use battery-powered electronics; however, he also states that the refrigerator at the Amish farm he visited, which stores the raw milk, is gas-powered.

Ugur writes…

“You’re right. They have battery-powered tools and lights.

However, the refrigerator that keeps the raw milk gallons is gas-powered. All these stay outside of their houses.”

On the other hand, several Cybertruck owners expressed enthusiasm about introducing the all-electric truck to the Amish community.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, John Sanchez, writes…

“Back to the Future. Awesome pictures!!”

Another Cybertruck owner, Tyler Burrell, seconds this sentiment, writing…

“Hopefully, you told the Amish farmer you’re from the year 2145.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Cerca Trova, writes…

“The farmer has an appreciation for technology.”

Overall, looking at the comments, Cybertruck owners seem divided on whether an Amish farmer would find an all-electric Cybertruck intriguing.

I don't think he was as wowed as he seemed. But I would much like if we could get back to simpler times. The world was is a much healthier place and society interacted much more face to face and now it's like no one knows how to communicate let alone function without electronics. I remember when AOL came on the scene. We still played outside and was more in tune with nature and society. What happened to the help your neighbors. Most people don't even know their neighbors. Have a Blessed day all and keep God 1st.

So he went to show off and gather content for his trash. See if I was going to an Amish town I would not bring a cybertruck out of respect. Clearly this guy wanted reactions like most losers.

Was the owner of the milk carton truck surprised that the wagon next to that thing had no engine either...

I suspect that the Amish folks probably proved their beliefs correct upon seeing the evil monstrosity known as the Cybertruck lol.

That the Amish liked the Tesla truck is amazing. They generally hate any sort of modern convenience that comes from the world outside of theirs. If they had their way, the world would still exist as it was before the Industrial Revolution.

Amish may consider battery powered vehicles BUT they can’t have air filled tires. That’s too worldly. Not allowed. So it would have to have solid tires or steel wheels. And you thought buggy wheel ruts on the roadways were bad!

Lie. Super fake. Amish use electric bikes and scooters as well as many other devices. They also know how things work even if they dont personally use them. They even have cell phones. This person doesnt know anything about the Amish and is clearly a liar. Please dont promote these lies to make the Amish look stupid and Tesla guy like some white colonizing savior bringing technology to the savages. This is insulting and so factually wrong as to be obviously fake.

More likely, real Amish would realize that a horse and buggy won't get stuck as much and horse dont randomly lose body parts like a cybertruck.

Editor: Dont promote this inaccurate, insulting lie of a story that unfairly disparages the Amish. Even they know cybertrucks are crap at doing any real work.

Amish Around Our Area Use Solar Panels And Batteries in Their Dwellings And Shops. They Also Have Battery-Powered Tools. Why Would It Be Much Different To Have an Electric Vehicle That They Drive Around?

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they were surprised you got to remember most Amish people would be surprised at that probably especially since they don't use television and stuff like that and two a lot of them will not look that stuff up specially the older versions but let's say a kid or someone that's 20 something years old to 30 years old never heard of electric vehicle I can see them being surprised and stuff because let me be honest a lot of them will become part of the church there usually don't finish after 8th grade so you got to look at it this way some could have been surprised if there's an actual battery operated 100 % without a engine and two they could have just been being polite too and kind of was interested into it cuz it was probably the first time seeing one in their community not everyone we'll always agree but there are some Amish people that do think that horse and buggy can be a little uncomfortable I've been told and that's why they leave the community usually and with other reasons as well and some will just because it's not for them

Well at least they won't be trapped and burned to death or have panels flying off or the towing hitch pull off or lose control. Maybe they will look at it but probably not be allowed.

The guy that this article was written about is probably the head of marketing for tesla itself and is willing to try any and every potential outlet in order to find somewhere that they could manage to sell a vehicle that could only have been drawn by a 6 year old child to boost sales high enough that there could be some semblance that whoever it was won't have to explain to their kid that they might have actually just been slightly partially 100% completely lying through their teeth about said kids future as an artist being viable and he's the reason why you're looking for another job because where else could you hide enough of the world's ugliest vehicles where there's essentially zero chance of them being noticed by people with other options and a sense of style that could only be described as an ioda more than just 'plain'

It's totally amazing that 90% of the comments made have absolutely no clue about amish lifestyle which doesn't differ much from living off grid in some cases.

“Some Amish can use solar and a battery bank for electricity. . . It's not too far a leap to an electric vehicle."

The Amish like Christians pick and choose what they can and can't do based on convenience and social tolerance
