A Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says, “A Burglar Was Trying To Break Into My Truck, But The Cybertruck Is Bulletproof, So He Couldn’t Get In.” He Adds, “He Still Messed Up My Windows.”

A Cybertruck owner says a burglar had to leave empty-handed after trying to break into his truck by smashing the windows. He adds that, despite how hard the perp tried, he couldn’t break the glass. It’s bulletproof.

Andrew Bisnaught, a Cybertruck owner from Atlanta, Georgia, says someone recently tried to force their way into his truck.

Andrew’s Cybertruck was parked at night in the middle of the street when a masked man approached the vehicle and tried to break in through the windows.

The burglar hit the Cybertruck’s windows multiple times with a rock and tried to force his way in; however, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get inside.

Frustrated, the robber walked away without being able to steal anything from the vehicle.

While the attempted burglary was in progress, Andrew received a phone notification and went out to check on his vehicle, finding the windows damaged but not broken.

Following the incident, Andrew posted a video about it on the Tesla Cybertruck group on Facebook.

In the video, he says…

“So this happened. Does anyone have experience getting these windows replaced?

I just got an alert on my phone. Someone was trying to break into my car. My car is bulletproof, so he couldn’t get in, but he messed up my windows.”

In the video, you can see that the Cybertruck’s passenger-side and front windows are badly damaged, with shattered glass still largely in place.

Along with the aftermath, Andrew also posted a video of the break-in attempt, captured by the Cybertruck’s sentry cameras.

In the second video, you can see the perpetrator forcefully hitting the windows with a rock, then using a pillow to try to force the glass to shatter.

He repeatedly hits the Cybertruck’s windows, protecting himself from the glass shards with the pillow; however, after multiple attempts, the windows still wouldn’t budge.

After this, the burglar violently strikes the glass with his elbow; however, again, despite his best efforts, he still isn’t able to get inside.

At this point, the perp picks up the rock again and tries to smash the passenger-side rear window.

This, too, doesn’t break the glass, so, frustrated, he is forced to walk away without being able to steal anything.

This criminal activity is certainly disappointing; however, Andrew seems impressed by his Cybertruck’s shatter-resistant glass.

And looking at the comments, a lot of Cybertruck owners praised the sturdiness of the truck’s windows.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Marcus Reno, writes…  ·

“That’s wild. Love the protection, but yeah, that sucks. Too bad it happened.”

A second Cybertruck owner, Da Niel, writes…

“The burglar threw the rock at the rear window out of frustration.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Brian Perry, writes…

“Go with the bulletproof windows.”

Many Cybertruck owners seem very happy with the truck’s sturdiness. However, a few other commenters also point out that the glass being so strong could be an issue in other situations.

Erik Pollnow writes…

“I guess nobody is escaping their Cybertruck if it plunges into water.

Most windows blow out with the right tool, so you can escape. These are going to be death traps. People are not going to be able to get out.”

Several other commenters also challenged the idea that the Cybertruck’s windows are bulletproof.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Michael J. Haggerty, writes…

“It’s bullet-resistant, not bulletproof. For clarification.”

Malik Rhasaan writes…

“What does bulletproof have to do with it? He didn't know who to get in. You have to peel these windows out.”

Overall, people seem divided on whether the Cybertruck’s windows are indeed that sturdy and, if they are, whether that’s a good thing. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.
