The Next-Generation 2024 Subaru Impreza Debuts In LA Not The New Crosstrek

Subaru announced the all-new 2024 Subaru Impreza compact car would make its global debut in LA, not the new Crosstrek. Check out the new details here.

Subaru of America announced the all-new 2024 Subaru Impreza compact hatchback would make its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, not the new Crosstrek. We reported the next-generation U.S.-spec Crosstrek would be the latest model Subaru would bring to LA. But our sources close to Subaru were wrong; the new Impreza will be revealed.

The LA Auto Show runs from Friday, November 18, through Sunday, November 27, for U.S. new car, SUV, and truck shoppers. The 2024 Subaru Impreza 5-Door hatchback reveal will be on Thursday, November 17, at the Subaru press conference.

Subaru says the next-generation Impreza reveal will be live-streamed and co-hosted by Bucky Lasek, professional skateboarder and former Subaru rallycross driver, and his daughter, Paris Lasek.

Subaru says, “The all-new 2024 Impreza will take the model’s up-for-anything versatility, capability, and style to new places.”

In advance of the new reveal, Subaru teased the new Impreza on its U.S. Press page, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media pages.

What’s coming for the new 2024 Impreza?

Customers will see new exterior styling, although we don’t expect drastic changes. It will look similar to the 2024 Crosstrek revealed by Subaru Corporation in Japan last month.

The Impreza will get upgrades to the interior, improved driving dynamics, and new safety upgrades. The compact sedan and hatchback will get a new center console with additional storage, an 11.6-inch center information display, and an improved infotainment system with smartphone-integrated functionality.

The next generation Impreza gets improvements to the Subaru Global Platform that should improve ride quality. Like the Crosstrek, Impreza now utilizes a full-inner-frame construction Subaru first introduced on the new Levorg and WRX S4.

The new Impreza will likely keep the 2.0-liter engine. Subaru will make improvements to reduce vibrations and noise in the engine and Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.

The 2024 Impreza will also feature the next-gen EyeSight driver-assist safety system.

When will the 2024 Impreza be available in the U.S.?

Subaru will likely launch the new Impreza in the summer of 2023, but it could be later. Check Subaru Report at Torque News for further updates on the next-generation 2024 Subaru Impreza from the LA Auto Show on November 17.

Denis, Enjoy your articles on Subaru very much. Disappointed that 2024 Crosstrek will not be revealed for US market at LA Auto Show. Evidently, your source got it wrong? The way Subaru management is handling their 2024 Crosstrek US version leaves a lot to be desired. Crosstrek is now their number one selling vehicle in US, and yet they pushed back the all new revamp by one year, and now they seem to be slow-walking the introduction. I guess because it is selling so well there is no incentive for them to be more forthcoming?

I'm interested if they are going to continue with a manual version in 24. Smart money says they are not. What will be the powertrain alignment be for the US market? Crosstrek could be even a much large seller for them then it is currently, but they don't seem to be into it?

Anyway thank you for your ongoing information. Much appreciated.
