As you can see in the image above provided by the Bristol Golden Giveaway, the grand prize of this contest is a 2011 Ford Mustang GT sporting a cool golden paint scheme not available on the current Ford Mustang. That gold exterior is dressed up by means of a thick black center stripe with thin white trim, adding a black rear spoiler and gloss black wheels to finish off the exterior. The fine print in the legal terms of the contest point out that this is an actual pace car, which means that it will be fitted up with items like a light bar and the other necessary items to make an adequate pace car but the winner doesn’t get any of those items. There could be some sign of those lights having once been there but considering that the vehicle is being used for a giveaway, I would imagine that the folks outfitting the unique 2011 Ford Mustang GT-Bristol Motor Speedway 50th Anniversary Edition would be pretty gentle during application.
Entering the Bristol Golden Giveaway is extremely simple, with a variety of options for your chance at the 2011 Ford Mustang GT Pace Car used in the Food City 250. The first (and easiest) way is to visit www.bms50.com and sign up using either your email address of your Facebook account. That gives you one entry, and a second entry is added to your account once you complete the simple matching game offered to you after registration. You can then refer more people to the contest (up to 5) and you get an added entry for each one of those people. There was also a Scotts display this past weekend at the Scotts EZ Seed 300 and the Jeff Byrd 500 at Bristol, offering race goers the chance to sign up in person for the major award.
The Bristol Golden Giveaway offers the public a chance to sign up until August of this year, when the three finalists will be chosen. Those three lucky individuals win an all expenses paid trip for two to Bristol for the Food City 250 and IRWIN Tools Night and on Saturday August 27th, 2011 when the IRWIN Tools Night Race comes to an end, the lucky winner will be drawn – offering him or her the chance to cruise home in this unique customized 2011 Ford Mustang GT Pace Car.
