Ram Updates the Debut of its 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution BEV

We now know when we will see the long-awaited 2024 Ram Revolution BEV. Ram's release also confirms the Revolution name.

Ford has its Lightning BEV, GMC has the HUMMER EV pickup and already has released video of the Chevrolet Silverado EV and the GMC Sierra EV. Now we know that we will finally see the 2024 Ram Revolution BEV at the CES Show in January. CES 2023 takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 5th. CES used to stand for the Consumer Electronics Show.

Ram’s Description of the New Ram 1500 Revolution

Ram is promising that the Revolution will have exclusive advanced technology features. It also calls the Revolution BEV Concept “A visionary roadmap and a glimpse into the future, showing how the leading truck brand will once again redefine the pickup truck segment.” Ram has acknowledged that it will be late to the party, but it has promised to learn from its competitors and “push past the competition as leaders in a combination of areas truck customers care about the most.” time.”

Ram Charging Ahead with Battery Electric Vehicles

Ram will offer electrified solutions in the majority of its segments by 2025, and all of its segments no later than 2030. Ram truck mules have been spotted without exhaust pipes, suggesting that they are already testing the new BEV platform.

Stellantis released sketches of the Ram 1500 BEV concept in early March, but few details have been confirmed. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares promised during his corporate presentation about accelerating EV production, in March, that the Ram BEV would excel in every category. Tavares introduced the sketches of the Ram 1500 electric truck saying “The Ram 1500 BEV will enter the hot pickup market in 2024. According to our Internal Performance Index, our Ram 1500 will outperform our competitors on the attributes our customers care most about: range, towing, payload, charge time. Really thrilling!”

Ram BEV Originally Confirmed During EV Day in July of 2021

When the electric Ram was outlined during EV day, in July of 2021, Chief Design Officer Ralph Gilles said the Ram 1500 battery electric truck will be built on the STLA Frame platform. There are four STLA platforms, Frame will provide the underpinnings for the body on frame vehicles like large SUVs and the Ram trucks. STLA is pronounced Stella, and the different sizes correspond to the size of the batteries. The Frame size battery should be 159-200 kilowatt hours and provide up to 500 miles of range.

Gilles said that the battery will sit “nice and low” in the truck and the Electric Drive Modules or EDMs will be on toward the outside of the vehicle, allowing the designers greater versatility in creating “very-attractive designs”. Gilles said Ram will “Redefine what the full-size truck looks like and also how it works.”
It will be fascinating to see if the vehicle can live up to the company’s promises. We’ll find out during CES 2023, in January.
