2022 Ram 1500 Named 'Best Truck Brand' for 4th Year in a Row

Lots of vehicles may be ‘One Hit Wonders’ getting a great award here or there but there are several reasons that the 2022 Ram 1500 is the most awarded truck ever. U.S. News and World Report has singled out the Ram 1500 as ‘Best Truck Brand’ for four years in-a-row. U.S. News rates vehicles based on industry-wide excellence and meeting customer demands.

“For the fourth consecutive year, Ram wins the Best Truck Brand award on the strength of the Ram 1500, which is one of the few trucks on the market to make the case for itself as both a work vehicle and a daily driver. The Ram 1500’s interior features a high-tech infotainment system with intuitive controls and a huge touchscreen,” said Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars. “Meanwhile, the interior quality and materials found on uplevel Ram trims keep pace with what many luxury SUVs offer. The Ram 1500 features a coil-spring rear suspension that makes it comfortable enough for commuting but capable enough for serious towing and hauling.”

2022 Ram 1500 Interior Upgrades

Ram has received a number of awards for its upgraded interiors. Ram was the first truck brand to go upscale on a moderately priced vehicle. The 2019 Ram 1500 introduced higher quality leather and real wood trim to the truck’s interior. Ram emphasizes comfort in its trucks, even adding extra legroom in the back and reclining seats for passengers.

2022 Ram 1500 Technology Upgrades

Ram’s 12” infotainment touchscreen really changed the game in the pickup truck wars. Combined with its Uconnect system, the programmable touchscreen is easy to navigate and has become a critical asset for drivers who use the truck for work or as a family vehicle.

2022 Ram 1500 Off-Roading and Towing

Ram pretty much set the benchmarks when it comes to towing and payload. They were also some of the first pickups to go all in on off-roading. There are several off-road versions available and all of them are capable of towing whatever you want, whether it is a camper, a boat, horse trailer or trailer carrying ATVs.

The brand with the highest overall average score was named the winner in the category. The overall scores come directly from the U.S. News Best Cars rankings, which are based on a combination of safety scores, reliability data and the consensus of the automotive press.
