2018 Honda Odyssey minivan earns highest available crash test safety rating

Thursday finds Honda News announcing that 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan , when equipped with Honda Sensing ™, and LED headlights, earns the highest safety rating available, “Top Safety +” What makes Honda’s premier family hauler segment leading safe?

Both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recognize Honda’s reinvented 2018 Odyssey Minivan as an exceptionally safe family conveyance, bestowing upon the maker the 5 Star, and Top Safety Pick + ratings, the highest available in the industry. In speaking with Honda engineering at last summer’s Kona event, not only did Torque News learn of the many advancements made in ride quality, vehicle stability, roll over, and A.C.E. body structure driver and passenger crash protection, but experienced first hand the inherent real time advantage of accident avoidance technologies, as afforded through Honda Sensing ™.

The maker’s award winning near autonomous driver assist and accident avoidance, brake mitigating active safety feature, is now available on all 2018 Odyssey trim levels EX and above.
