2016 Acura TLX rated ‘top value’ by KBB.com

These days it’s tough to keep up with the accolades and awards being presented to the (mostly) “Made in America” Acura precision lineup of cars, crossovers and SUV's.

The second week in February found Acura Division, specifically 2016 Acura MDX - SUV and TLX sports-sedan, gaining industry-wide recognition as not only an exceptional initial purchase value, but as the low cost leader in the premium, luxury sedan segment.

According to Kelley Blue Book .Com, the “Top Luxury Brand for low Cost of Ownership” award goes to the entire Acura line up.

While that last sentence may be a mouthful, for Acura fans opting for long term ownership, based on initial purchase price, cost of scheduled service, anticipated repairs, and residual value at the end of lease or at trade-in time, your Acura TLX is a great value presenting long lasting, precision built tendencies.

2016 Acura TLX brings affordable premium quality to a segment dominated by Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and Infinity.Actually, that was the case prior to the resurrection of Honda’s premium name plate.

Today, no other premium brand performance sedan available in North America can touch 2016 TLX for standard feature and optional feature value packaging. You may find price and specifications here.

Back in mid 2014, with the introduction of the TL and TSX replacing TLX lineup came a shift in consumer awareness of the burgeoning Acura Brand. A major refresh of the Civic based 2016 ILX, ILX A-Spec, MDX with a 9 speed transmission offering, while RDX, the best driving 2 row crossover in North America, has driven Acura brand sales to near record highs.

With the recovery of the U.S. economy Acura sales returned to pre-recession numbers, with the best yet to come. As a personal note, I look to the stunning Acura Precision Concept, and Acura’s rededication to precision automotive engineered driven craftsmanship and drive dynamics to push Acura to the forefront of the North American auto industry pinnacle of attainable performance.

In the words of Acura vice president and general manager Mr. Jon Ikeda

"The Acura brand was established not only on an exhilarating driving experience but a level of quality and reliability that stands out in the luxury class," said Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of Acura. I couldn't have stated it better myself.

After spending no less than 2,000 miles behind the wheel of various 2015 and 2016 TLX trim variants, I still walk away smiling every time I exit TLX, it’s that good!
