Tesla Just Needs To Scale Now - Everything Else Is Solved

Tesla has solved manufacturing and creating an AI driven software system for its full self-driving. All it needs to do now, is scale.

Tesla Has Solved Manufacturing and AI Software

Tesla started off building the original Roadster. It was a fancy electric sports car when electric vehicles were something of a rarity. I remember riding in one in 2015, and it was a very fun experience, although I was a bit big for the car because I'm 6 feet 4 inches tall. I loved the acceleration of it.

Tesla has since gone on to create the Model S - a luxury sedan, the Model X - a luxury and large SUV, the Model 3 - a less expensive sedan, and the Model Y - a less expensive SUV that appeals to the masses. The Tesla Semi is also in limited production and soon, the Cybertruck will be available for customers to purchase.

Tesla has figured out how to manufacture vehicles at scale and is continuing to improve those practices. There's no doubt in my mind that Tesla will figure out how to get to 20 million vehicles per year toward the end of the decade of a few years beyond that.

Tesla has also created, in version 12 of its FSD software, an entirely AI driven system that just needs to be fed video and data to train it how to behave. It's all the things you see in video coming in, and the output is simply acceleration, braking, turning, putting on a blinker, etc... Our human brains work similarly when we drive. We see things and do those actions in accordance with what we see.

Tesla Just Needs to Scale Now

All Tesla needs to do now is scale its manufacturing practices across many more giga factories, and also scale its video labeling and training. This will be something that continues to happen over time.

Tesla will build more giga factories, including the one in Mexico. Many more will be built around the world, possibly in South Korea, Japan, or Indonesia. Maybe it will be all three of these places. Tesla could also build another giga factory in the eastern United States somewhere. Brazil may also be a good location for a giga factory, or Argentina.

Once Tesla has about 10 giga factories for cars, it's game over. Tesla will also produce a similar number for its energy business. Tesla already knows how to scale energy, it's just getting materials and building new factories at this point. You can see this because of the huge demand its Lathrop, CA factory is getting, and Tesla is shipping Megapacks as fast as it can.

Tesla is going to open up more jobs for its video labeling and training for its AI FSD software. I would expect to see many more job openings for video labeling and getting quality video for its neural nets. Tesla's software engineers are going to now likely get moved to the Tesla Bot program so that it can be trained and start doing constructive tasks.

I'm looking forward to each new years and how much Tesla is able to scale!

What do you think? Is scaling all Tesla needs to do now?
