Tesla Cybertruck Windshield Wiper Is Still Huge: Here's How Much Coverage It Provides

The Tesla Cybertruck windshield wiper has not changed from the beginning of development to now and is still one huge blade. Here's how much coverage it provides.

One Single Giant Wiper on the Cybertruck

When you look at the image of the Cybertruck here, it looks like one single giant windshield wiper blade.

The great thing about the image I found on X.com is that it clearly shows how much coverage the wiper provides when it is used to clean the windshield.

I have heard rumors that the Cybertruck wiper blade actually has two or three blades in it to make replacements easier, but I have not heard any official statement from Tesla on that. I'm instead waiting for someone who has an actual Cybertruck to take a closer look at it.

What's interesting to me is that Tesla, a while back, patented some laser technology that was supposedly going to be used to clean the windshield and cameras - but after Tesla made that announcement, they haven't given any updates. Perhaps they deemed it too difficult for now.

Tesla laser patent for windshield

The Cybertruck, with its futuristic look is the ideal candidate for this kind of laser technology, but my guess is if Tesla is going to do it, they will do it in the future when they have figured it out more, and it will be applied to an updated version of the Cybertruck.

Will the Wiper Ever Change?

Elon Musk voiced his disdain with the single giant wiper, stating that there is no easy solution for it.

I remember Elon Musk saying he didn't like it, but it remains one single giant wiper.

Even though Elon Musk hates it, it stayed the same for all these years, so it's clearly, as he said - a very difficult problem to solve.

Tesla could have made two standard wipers like other vehicles have, but then that would have made the Cybertruck more like other vehicles, which is not what Tesla has in mind. They want this vehicle to stand out.

What else can Tesla do here besides a laser or two wipers? Do you have any ideas - if you do, send me a message on X.com, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
