As Cybertruck Production Ramps, Parts Catalog Reveals 4 Foot Long Wiper Blade Replacement For $165 And Windshield Replacement of $1,900

The Cybertruck parts catalog has been released, and it shows that the giant 4-foot-long windshield wiper will cost $165 to replace as well as a $1,900 cost to replace the windshield.

Cybertruck Parts Catalog

Cybertruck's production is in full force, with dozens of Cybertrucks now being seen at Giga Texas.

Tesla has revealed pricing for parts for the Cybertruck in an online catalog, showing a multitude of various parts, such as the windshield wiper, the windshield, and the front steering actuator.

As I went online and looked at the catalog, Tesla appears to have removed the prices, which were in the "Unit Price (Before Tax)" column, however, there are enough people who reported the prices when they were in the catalog, that I will share them here now. The most notable are:

  • Windshield wiper blade & arm: $165
  • Windshield wiper blade standalone: $75
  • Windshield glass: $1,900
  • Front steering actuator: $3,300
  • Shatterproof side windows: $200-$260
  • Powered frunk & fascia: $1,910 + $935
  • Front fenders: $550/each
  • 35 inch All-Terrain A/T tire (Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT) (285/65R20): $470/each

Currently, this is about all we know for the prices that were once revealed for parts for the Cybertruck. The windshield is quite expensive to repair at $1,900. However, it's important to note that I had to replace my windshield for my Model 3 RWD when a big rock on the freeway hit it and that cost $1,400. Tesla vehicles are just more expensive to repair, and the Cybertruck windshield costs $500 more to replace than my Model 3 RWD windshield.

My guess is that someone saw all the leaked prices from Tesla and realized that the prices may fluctuate and change over time and to avoid any confusion, removed them from the parts catalog.

Maintenance of the Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck should be a relatively low-maintenance vehicle due to having no paint and a stainless steel exoskeleton. It would take something pretty strong and powerful to shatter the windows or the windshield, so I don't expect to see people having to replace the windows or windshield too often.

The Cybertruck is still giving Tesla plenty of free advertising with various celebrities like Spike Lee, Alexis Cohanian, and Jay Leno all being shown either with their Cybertruck, or with one stating they have one on order.

I have never seen Tesla reveal a parts catalog in detail like they have with the Cybertruck, and I wonder what their intention for doing this is. I think it is to save time for customers who need a replacement part. They can look at this catalog and simply state what they want replaced at Tesla.

There is a Model 3 parts catalog online for Tesla Model 3 owners, but it's not quite as detailed as the Cybertruck parts catalog.

Or, it could be for Tesla employees to make things simpler when doing repairs on the Cybertruck. However, the catalog is public, and I have to believe there is some reason Tesla made it public and removed the column with the prices. I still think it's because pricing won't be set in stone, and Tesla didn't want it to be left there if the prices become more expensive.

I think Tesla should put all their parts catalogs into a database and have real-time pricing for parts based on market conditions. That would be good for customers who want to know what the going price is to replace any given part. Having all their vehicles and catalog's in one place would be great.

That's about all I could gather for the Cybertruck parts catalog, but I'll share more details if I come across them - stay tuned for further updates.
