Consumer Reports Best Value on SUVs, Cars, and One Truck

Here’s the latest from CR analysts about what vehicles their owner satisfaction data reveals that gave their owners exactly what they expected from their new 2023 model SUVs, cars, and one truck.

According to a recent Consumer Reports newsletter their latest analysis of data gleaned from their owner satisfaction surveys reveal that, “A car, SUV or pickup doesn’t have to be inexpensive to be considered a good value—it just has to deliver on its promise.”

Best Value for the Money Recommendations

In other words, it’s not always about the price tag on the vehicle when bought new this year, but just as importantly, that the owners felt that they got what they paid for by meeting their expectations with their new vehicle purchase.

The value of knowing this for new car shoppers and those hoping to catch the last of the 2023 models when prices are expected to go down some to make room for the 2024 models in showrooms and dealership lots is that it provides a useful “heads-up” for consumers who want to avoid problem vehicles.

“If you’re in the market for a new car, you can use this list to help you narrow down your choices...all of them are reliable and recommended models, so you can be confident you’ll be buying a car or SUV that won’t saddle you with costly repairs,” says Steve Elek, the automotive data analyst at Consumer Reports.
