A Man With Only a Few Months to Live Receives His Dying Wish of Driving a Cybertruck – Tesla Sends Out an Engineer 800 Miles to Fulfill His Dream

Tesla has sent out an engineer who drove 800 miles to fulfill the wishes of a man with terminal cancer with only 3 to 12 months to live. The man is seen with a big smile as he gets his wish to experience the Cybertruck before he passes away.

Elon Musk always says he wants people to fall in love with Tesla products. Tesla’s goal is not merely to create a functional car that gets you from point A to point B but rather to create a fun product you cherish.

This aspect of Tesla’s approach to designing its vehicles is apparent in some of the quirky features found in the company’s cars. These include things such as Fart Mode, where you can program different fart sounds to come out of the speakers.

Romance Mode, where the center touchscreen displays a crackling fireplace complete with sounds creating a romantic ambiance for you and your partner.

The ability to transport your vehicle, at least through the navigation screen, to Mars; Steam integration and availability of several games; other several easter eggs including the ability to change your vehicle into Santa's slay; and the incredible acceleration.

All these features and many more that we haven’t mentioned work together to make Tesla vehicles more than transportation tools.

One Wisconsin man who has come to cherish Teslas expressed his love for one particular Tesla product to the point of making it his dying wish.

A few weeks ago, the Wisconsin man who goes by the Reddit handle u/arfarfarf wrote on the Tesla Lounge subreddit stating “I reserved a Cybertruck 3 years ago but was diagnosed with terminal cancer, 3 to 12 months to live. So I canceled the reservation so my wife won’t have to. But I would really like to have a ride in a Cybertruck. I am in Wisconsin. I can prove all of this. Anybody wants to be a hero?”

The moderators of the subreddit reached out informing u/arfarfarf that they have a contact from Tesla and that the company would like to assist him in his wish if a Tesla community member with a Cybertruck was not found nearby.

For the last 20 days, u/arfarfarf stayed silent without any hint whether someone had reached out to him or not.

However, today we’re happy to report that the Wisconsin man has indeed received his wish posting on Reddit once again saying “Sorry for the delay, but I got my ride in a Cybertruck, (with pics).

Together with the post u/arfarfarf revealed that a Tesla engineer had driven 800 miles to allow him to experience the Cybertruck before his time came.

The cancer patient also added “Steven drove from Minneapolis to MKE to give a ride and drive. I couldn't drive on the street cuz of pain meds but we went to a big parking lot and got to experience how cool the CT is. I also have to say how great Steven Dang was! Such a cool guy, He has worked on so many projects in 10 years with Tesla, and he knows Tom Zhu! I tried to get secret info but Steven was very informative yet vague.”

In the pictures he shared with his latest post, you can see the man with a big smile as he got to experience the Cybertruck for the first time.

This is certainly a heartwarming story and good for the Tesla employee and the company as a whole for granting this person’s wish. Currently, this is all the information we’ve regarding this story, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted if we get more information.
