The New 2020 Subaru Ascent Configurator Is Live, Check What Trim Is Right For You

The second-year 2020 Subaru Ascent family hauler has arrived for customers and the configurator is live. What trim is right for you?

Subaru just put up a new 2020 Ascent configurator tool so you can check out the four different trim levels with standard features, color selection, and images of each 2020 model change. Ascent will be available in Base ($31,995), Premium ($34,395), Limited ($39,345), and Touring ($45,045) trims.

Many customers will likely opt for the 2020 Ascent Premium priced at $34,395 trim featuring standard all-wheel-drive, X-Mode, EyeSight driver assist safety tech and unique spill-repellent cloth upholstery. It gets upgrades for families like the all-weather package with heated exterior mirrors and heated front seats and windshield wiper de-icer.

Options on the Premium trim include second-row captain chairs; 20-inch wheels in a dark gray machine finish; and a power rear gate with height memory. Keyless access with push-button start; auto-dimming rearview compass mirror, panoramic moonroof; navigation and a stow-able cargo cover are other features families can opt for.

The biggest news for the 2020 model change is the addition of the new Rear Seat Reminder giving an extra level of safety for busy parents. The new feature will give the driver a reminder to check the rear seat before exiting the SUV. It’s designed to assist in preventing a child or a pet from accidentally being locked or trapped in the vehicle.

The Rear Seat Reminder will alert the driver with an audible sound after the vehicle is turned off and will display a warning message in the Combination Meter Display, reminding the driver to check the rear seat area. It could also be a good reminder to check for valuables or electronic devices left in plain sight after a shopping or road trip.

The EPA estimated fuel economy is 21/27 mpg city/highway and 23 combined mpg for the Premium trim. Ascent also comes with 5,000-lb. towing capacity for families wanting to tow a small boat or trailer.

The 2020 Subaru Ascent is the largest model built in the U.S. and is the brand’s newest vehicle in the stable. Customers can load up the Premium trim with features and still keep the family hauler under $40,000. All 2020 Ascent trims are arriving now at showrooms.

People shouldn't have to be reminded about children or pets in the car!!! Very disappointed that the Red Limited can't have WIL interior!!!!! Subaru really should offer that.
