The 2023 Subaru Forester - Pricing And What’s Not Coming

When will Subaru offer the 2023 Forester to customers in North America? See why you don’t want to wait for the 2023 Forester model change.

Subaru of America will announce the 2023 Forester compact SUV model change soon, but what can customers in the U.S. expect when it arrives? The 2022 Forester received a refresh, and Subaru won’t likely make any upgrades or changes to the 2023 models.

With the global microchip shortages, Subaru has been forced to change the timeline for its new models. The new model upgrades and next-generation model changes will be different now and it affects the Forester.

The Forester compact SUV and Crosstrek subcompact SUV manufactured in Japan have been affected most by global supply chain issues and chip shortages. Numerous plant shutdowns this year have made the two models the most challenging vehicles to find.

When will Subaru launch the 2023 Forester compact SUV, and what changes will it get? The 2023 Subaru Forester will be announced by Subaru of America this summer. The Forester received a refresh for the 2022 model change and will likely carry over with no changes for the 2023 models.

The 2023 Forester will continue with the 2.5-liter engine with 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. There will be no engine upgrades, and the fuel mileage will remain the same.

2023 Forester STI Sport

Subaru Corporation announced a new 2023 Forester STI Sport, but it won’t be coming to U.S. shores. Subaru brings the new Forester STI Sport with suspension upgrades and a turbocharged Boxer engine. Subaru has previously offered the Forester STI to customers in Japan, and customers in the U.S. can only look and not touch it.

Subaru of America could ask Subaru Corporation for a new 2023 Forester Special Edition trim level. Like the Crosstrek Special Edition, it would get a new exterior color and interior and exterior accents. But it would be little more than an appearance package.

What is the price of the 2022 Subaru Forester?

The 2022 Forester comes in six trim levels; The Base Forester starts at $27,070, Premium ($30,070), Sport ($31,640), Limited ($33,750), new Wilderness ($34,695), and Touring ($37,170). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,175).

What is the price of the 2023 Subaru Forester?

There will be price increases on all 2023 Subaru Forester models because of the rise in supply and parts costs. Like the 2023 Crosstrek, look for the 2023 Forester to get a $600 price increase across all trim levels.

Wait for the 2024 Subaru Forester

Customers should wait for the 2024 Subaru Forester compact SUV that gets a complete remodel with the exterior, interior, and possible engine upgrades.

Subaru Corporation will make few or no changes to the 2023 Forester compact SUV as they prepare for the 2024 model change that will get a complete remodel. Stay tuned for the 2023 Subaru Forester pricing to be announced soon by Subaru of America.

Love my 2021 Forester Touring SUV except for the windshield. Within first 3 months of driving it, I had 3 chips. The last since has cracked and the windshield was replaced this May. After driving about 100 miles, the new window already has a chip. By the way, I have less than 10,000 miles on this car and have not driven on any dirt roads. I hope Subaru is addressing this problem as I read it is a real issue with Subaru windshields in several models
