New Vanpowers UrbanGlide E-Bike Can Travel Up to 70 Miles On a Charge

The new e-bikes from Vanpowers offer smooth operation, easy step-through frame design, and much more in an attractive price range.

This week, Chino-California-based Vanpowers officially launched their latest e-bike, the UrbanGlide. This new e-bike offers precision construction, a high torque 500-watt electric motor, designed for metro commuters. The company says that it offers smooth operation and that it is capable of traveling up to 70 miles on a charge. The UrbanGlide is offered in three different models with early-bird prices starting at just $1,099.

“We created UrbanGlide specifically for commuters navigating the concrete jungle,” said Darik Duan, chief of research and development at Vanpowers. “This is their tool--and toy. Every component--from the hydraulic brakes, powerful motor, the suspension fork, the ultra-comfortable suspension seatpost and saddle, the long-range battery, etc—was carefully considered. We are proud to have created a safe, reliable, cutting-edge e-bike that city dwellers will prefer to their cars.”

The new UrbanGlide is built for comfort and ease of use. Its step-through frame means no more swinging your leg up and over a saddle. Speaking of saddle, rather than a thin, hard plastic, seat the UrbanGlide features a soft wide seat mounted to an easy-to-adjust stem. A lighted helmet is always sensible, but the UrbanGlide also has a lighting function. An app lets you plan routes, track speed and distance traveled, along with calories burned. A front fork suspension is standard.

One novel aspect of UrbanGlide ownership is the post-sale support. 14/7 customer service network is ready to help, and the company offers a 30-day period during which your bike can be returned or exchanged should any unexpected quality issues arise.

“In addition to building the most comfortable commuter bike on the market, we’ve also created the industry’s best warranty and repair system,” said Vanpowers’ Darik Duan. “We don’t think our riders will need it; but, in case they do, we’ve made getting help as accessible as possible. Vanservice, our upgraded after-sale program, has your back. When you want help from Vanpowers, it’s a hassle-free experience. You schedule repairs online. We can even come to your home to fix your bike.”
