Roush Supercharged 2018 Ford Mustang GT Packs 700hp and a Full Warranty

Roush has teamed up with Ford Performance to introduce a supercharger package for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT which lifts the output to 700 horsepower and 610lb-ft of torque while still maintaining the factory warranty – and it works with the Ford F150 as well.

Roush is one of the biggest names in the world of Ford Mustang aftermarket tuning, so it should come as little surprise that a collaboration between Roush and Ford Performance would lead to an impressive supercharger package. Announced at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new Roush/Ford Performance supercharger for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT increases the output from 460hp and 420lb-ft of torque to 700 horsepower and 610lb-ft of torque – and it does so without voiding the factory warranty.

This is not the first aftermarket supercharger package for the modern Ford Mustang GT to offer this kind of power, but this is the first which offers 700 horsepower without voiding the factory warranty. There are other supercharger packages which wont void the factory warranty and there are some which offer 700+ horsepower, but those void the warranty. This new blower package from Roush and Ford Performance combines the best of both worlds – big power and a full warranty.

“Our teams collaborated to create the most highly engineered, tested and performing supercharger kit on the market,” said Roush founder and Chairman Jack Roush. “The combination of the 2018 5.0-liter engine and our all-new, fully integrated 2650 supercharger system yields simply incredible, no-compromise performance.”

The 700hp Roushcharged 2018 Ford Mustang GT
This new supercharger package from Roush and Ford Performance for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT is designed to work specifically with the revised 5.0L V8 of the 2018 model year. By adding the 2650 Roush supercharger system and the engine calibration that comes with the package, the output of the 2018 Mustang GT climbs from 460hp and 420lb-ft of torque to 700hp and 610lb-ft of torque at 12psi. This power level is achieved while running on 93 octane gasoline with the combination of direct and port fuel injection.

Best of all, if a 2018 Ford Mustang GT owner has this Roush/Ford Performance supercharger package installed at the dealership or an approved shop, this 700hp package will not yield the factory warranty. In addition to that factory warranty, the supercharger itself comes with a warranty as well, so this is surely the most well-covered aftermarket supercharger package for the Mustang GT on the market today.

Unfortunately, we don’t know how much the Roush/Ford Performance supercharger package for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT will cost, as pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date – which is planned for some time in the first quarter of 2018.

The Ford F150 Benefits, Too
The new Roush/Ford Performance supercharger package for the 2018 Mustang GT’s 5.0L V8 will also work with the same engine in the new Ford F150. The truck engine is tuned a bit differently, so the stock numbers are 395hp and 400lb-ft of torque and the boosted figures are 640hp and 600lb-ft of torque.
