While this 8-minute video doesn’t have any footage of the Lamborghini Aventador breaking the sound barrier or shredding through the countryside, it does give us our first example of the new LP700-4 in the real world – including a chance to hear the Lamborghini V12 roar to life.
The video begins with a variety of still shots of the Aventador in its cozy enclosed trailer. The video jumps to the new Lambo sitting in the bus lane, offering a walk-around of the new Italian beauty followed by more stills of the car including interior shots and a few details like the shot of the engine through the glass cover.
Around the 1:36 mark is when the good stuff begins. The action footage begins with a Murciélago (the car the Aventador is replacing) jockeying around a bit, offering us a chance to hear the predecessor offering a little comparison…and when the Aventador screams to life – there is little comparison to be made. Not to take anything from the Murciélago, as it is an amazing vehicle but as soon as the new Aventador fires up it is very clear that this is a whole different beast. The LP700-4 fires up around the 1:57 mark and I dare any gearhead to crank the speakers up and listen to the Italian V12 roar without cracking a smile.
The next 5 minutes of video show the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 backing along the bus lane of this busy Berlin street, literally stopping traffic as a huge crowd draws to watch the new supercar maneuver into its new home. Once they have gotten the Aventador up to the front of the dealership, the crowd was given a chance to view this Italian supercar basking in its own freakin’ awesomeness. The video ends with a nerve-racking example of how hard it is for this German dealership to tuck new models into their tight urban storefront.
