The 2019 Toyota Tacoma XSP Package is a Bold Way to Personalize Your New Truck

Truck owners love customizing their new rides. The 2019 Toyota Tacoma offers an upgrade alternative that both looks sharp and is reasonably priced. Let’s look at the Tacoma XSP Package.

Truck accessory sales are big business. In 2018 consumers spent more than a whopping $50 billion in aftermarket vehicle parts and accessories. This is especially prevalent with truck owners.

You see, when truck shoppers buy their new vehicles, they are buying the shell, or the foundation, of their final finished product. Aftermarket truck accessories help owners personalize, protect and add value to their trucks. They can “make it their own” as I like to say.

People who drive a Toyota Tacoma know they have a truck that will last practically forever, and that it will hold up with few issues over the next decade or much longer. Tacoma has long been known for long-term dependability and reliability, which is one reason why it has dominated the midsize truck market for the last 14 straight years.
.
One of the ways 2019 Toyota Tacoma shoppers can personalize their trucks at the time of purchase is with its available XSP Black Beadlock Package.

What comes with this Tacoma XSP Package

The XSP Black Beadlock package is a racing appearance package that is offered on specific Toyota models, such as the Tacoma and the Toyota Tundra. It features a comprehensive group of options designed to improve a Tacoma’s looks, performance and convenience.

The main highlight of XSP is the upgrade to the 2019 Toyota Tacoma’s wheels and tires. The XSP offers 17” Black beadlock style wheels with all-terrain tires. Often the first modification a truck buyer makes is to the rims and tires. The advantage here is it takes the guesswork out of your decision and your upgrade done for you.

The other XSP calling card on a Tacoma is the gloss black emblem overlays and black tailgate insert. Also badging, such as “Tacoma” and “XSP” and “4x4” and “V6” will be blacked out, adding character and a certain level of street cred and toughness to the truck.

One of my favorite features of the XSP package is 2-in-1 LED projector fog lights and LED daytime running lights. LED lights last longer and shine brighter, providing increased visibility and that additional cool factor.

Also available with this package are black predator pro step bars and color-keyed rear bumper covers, along with a black exhaust tip.

But what does the Toyota Tacoma XSP package cost?

When looking at anything to purchase, one must first decide if they want it, and then decide if it is a good value. This is Economics 101 and also good clean common sense. The cost for the XSP Black Beadlock package is $3,399 according to Tacoma’s window stickers. The suggested retail was $5,399 but with a standard $2,000 factory discount, it reaches its MSRP price of $3,399 additional.

In addition to XSP package, off-road enthusiasts might choose a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro. These off-roading trucks offer multi-terrain select and crawl control systems to help you tackle challenging terrain.

My two cents

I feel the 2019 Toyota Tacoma XSP Black Beadlock package is worth a closer look. The transformation of the Tacoma with the wheels and tires, as well as the black badging, is stark and bold. Provided, of course, it fits your personality and what you are going for.

Often, the cost of customizing the combination of your truck’s alloy rims and tires will be in excess of $2,000 and often much more. Of course, there are bargain online hunters who can find a steal on their own for less. Still, for this reason, I feel the XSP package is a solid value, and it is worth a look for sure.

How have you customized your new truck? Did you start with wheels and/or tires, or did you being with something totally new? What is your favorite way you have customized your truck?

meh, not worth extra because the black out should be a standard option and the wheels are mediocre. Those step bars scream "I'm stuck"

Yuck. Another overpriced regional Toyota distributor package. Same as the garbage TSS package gulf states Toyota put on Tacomas and Tundras. All show, no go.
