Finally! 2017 Bentley Flying Spur W12 Hits 200 mph With New S

If there is one complaint that you could level at the current Bentley Flying Spur, it would is that it cannot go 200 mph. Only just a lowly 199 mph. The British luxury automaker is fixing that with a new Flying Spur variant.

Later this month at the Paris Motor Show, Bentley will debut the Flying Spur W12 S. The S is the important bit as it means the twin-turbo 6.0L W12 now produces 626 horsepower and 605 pound-feet of torque - up from 616 hp and 595 lb-ft respectively. This small increase in power allows the Flying Spur S to hit 60 mph in 4.2 seconds (0.1 seconds faster than the Flying Spur) and reach a top speed of 202 mph. Yes, the difference is marginal, but it still counts. Other mechanical changes include “a more responsive suspension tune,” and a set of optional carbon-ceramic brake discs.

The Flying Spur W12 S' exterior features gloss black trim, darkened head and taillights; revised front bumper, and a set of 21-inch wheels. Inside, the S gets a new steering wheel, metal trim, and 'W12 S' embroidered into the headrests.

Bentley hasn't revealed pricing, although if you have to ask... Deliveries are expected to begin towards the end of this year.
