It’s award season in the automotive industry, and Honda continues to dominate. This week, America’s # 4 automaker is acknowledge by the writers at Consumer Guide Automotive “Best Buy” award, winning 5 out of 20 segments. What makes Honda such a measurable value?

I am writing this posting from Calistoga, California. where Honda is presenting the third of the Clarity trilogy to the automotive press. The Clarity plug-in hybrid electric is anticipated to be the best seller in this very unique lineup, winner of 2018 Green Car Journal’s prestigious “Green Car of the Year.”

Honda automotive division is no stranger to press awards, with Civic shaping up to be one of, if not, the most awarded car in Hondo history. Clarity impresses!

But for consumers that take back-story brand research seriously, Consumer Guide is often the ‘go-to’ for unbiased automotive assessment. This year, the writers at Consumer Guide select Honda in 5 out of 20 segments, astounding!

Accord and Civic join HR-V, Pilot and Ridgeline as Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buys

On a playing field of well over 200 automotive brand plates, Honda dominates. How do they do it, and what makes Honda a measurable long-term automotive value?

From where I sit, Honda consistently presents a car or light truck superior in standard feature value, measurable performance, class leading fuel efficiency, and of late, from the bottom to the top of the trim walk, standard or available advanced active safety features.

With the reinvention of Honda Accord, and 10th generation Civic come two cars that breach their respective segments in size, comfort, and fuel efficient engine power. And then there’s price point.
