Elon Musk Just Said, "Three Significant Improvements to FSD Will Roll Out Roughly Every Two Weeks. Should Be Really Shining Bright By Late April Or Early May"

Elon Musk has just said that Tesla's FSD will roll out three significant improvements roughly every two weeks. That is a significant rate of change and updates! Elon is famous for saying "two weeks" and this takes it to another level.

Every Two Weeks - Updates To Tesla FSD

Elon Musk just posted minutes ago the following:

Three significant improvements to FSD will roll out roughly every two weeks.

Should be really shining bright by late April or early May.

Having updates every two weeks with three significant improvements would be incredibly quick and create a staggering rate of change. Think of how much FSD improved from 12.2 to 12.3. Every incremental version will offer massive updates.

This is good news for those who are wondering if Tesla's FSD software will one day be able to be autonomous. I think we might have our answer with this Tweet.

This seems to suggest that Tesla has the required compute resources available to train its neural net for FSD with additional training videos and to roll it in as additional updates.

Tesla FSD recently avoided a pedestrian walking in the middle of the road with no crosswalk.

At this rate of change, that would be 78 significant improvements every year!

Big huge congratulations to the Tesla team for making this possible. This is a milestone achievement. You know what this means?

Staggering Rate Of Change and Improvement

Doing updates every two weeks means Tesla can release 26 incremental versions of FSD per year. That may be more versions than Tesla has done in the last four years. It's all possible due to having the necessary compute resources and having a system that can be trained on video data.

All that is left is to continue to add video training data and make the system smarter, better, and to the point that it literally can't make a mistake - or if it does, it's an incredibly rare or add situation.

Look for some major progress on Tesla's FSD software this soon. In my opinion, Tesla reaches a Level 4 autonomous system by the end of the year. In a couple of years after that, Level 5 and robotaxis - rides in a Tesla without a driver.

All in time for the compact car, which will be produced at half the cost of a Model 3/Y.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the significant improvements every two weeks. When the wide release happens, I'll be sure to post about my experience with Tesla's FSD software.
