Should you get a new 2025 Tesla Cybertruck? Now may be the best time.

The first new 2025 Tesla Cybertruck owners are reporting an extraordinary deal from Tesla. Greg Mazurek, a member of the Cybertruck Owners' Facebook page, shares his experience of purchasing a new CT with a rare 0% financing offer.

Here is what new Cybertruck buyers need to know because there is a catch.

Greg, a happy Cybertruck owner, shares his experience, "After three years of anticipation, I finally made the leap. The 0% financing was too good to resist."

What did Greg pay for his new 2025 Tesla Cybertruck?

"I paid $92,000 with the tax credit."

Did he get a new Cyberbeast? "No. It was the AWD version," he says in response.

Jason Carlisle says, "Those are hard to find with the 0% financing."

Here are the Tesla Cybertruck 0% Financing Details

Currently, Tesla is extending a unique 0% APR financing offer exclusively to Cybertruck buyers. However, this exceptional deal comes with a condition: it's only applicable when purchasing the Cybertruck with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, as stated in Tesla's promotional materials and various news sources

Why is Tesla offering 0% Financing on the CT now?

This offer is part of Tesla's efforts to boost Cybertruck sales and is available for a limited time, specifically through June 30, 2025, according to Electrek. This limited window adds urgency to the decision-making process for CT buyers who may be undecided and on the fence.

Electrek says, "Tesla has virtually given up on delivering Autopilot on Cybertrucks – pushing many buyers toward its more expensive FSD package. Now, Tesla is doubling down on the strategy by subsidizing financing with FSD."

Is Tesla offering 0% financing on any other models?

Tesla has already been offering 0% financing on the Model 3 and lower financing rates on the Model Y. However, according to the report, this will be significantly more costly for the more expensive Cybertruck.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  • 0% APR with FSD: Tesla is offering 0% financing when purchasing the $8,000 Full Self-Driving package.
  • Limited Time Offer: The 0% APR deal is only available for Cybertrucks ordered before June 30, 2025.
  • Delivery Deadline: Customers must also take delivery of the Cybertruck by June 30, 2025.
  • Financing Terms: The 0% APR is offered on 36-, 48-, or 60-month loans, according to Referr-a-Tesla

How Much Is It Costing Tesla to Subsidize the Cybertruck Purchase with 0% Financing?

With a purchase price of $88,000 (for the Cybertruck Dual Motor plus Full Self-Driving (FSD) package), Tesla is expected to incur approximately $10,000 in lost revenue to subsidize the loans at the current rate, according to Electrek.

Tesla Wants To Move Out Its Cybertruck Inventory

Tesla is reportedly trying to reduce its Cybertruck inventory, which exceeds 3,700 units, by the end of the quarter. Inventory trackers indicate that Tesla's Cybertruck inventory in the US exceeds 3,700 units, valued at over $300 million.

Electrek says, "The fact that Tesla is extending this offer only through June 30th points to the automaker trying to reduce its inventory by the end of the quarter."

The Economic Times reports that Tesla Cybertruck sales are significantly below expectations.

"Less than 50,000 Cybertrucks have been sold since their launch in late 2023, which is way below the firm's yearly projection of 250,000 units at Gigafactory Texas, as per IBT. Tesla CEO Elon Musk had said at the time that the EV giant could reach half a million trucks each year," according to the report.

How Did Greg Order the Cybertruck and Take Delivery 3 Years Later?

  • A customer like Greg placed his Tesla Cybertruck order three years ago and is just now taking delivery. The initial demand exceeded production capacity, resulting in lengthy wait times.
  • If you placed a Cybertruck order today, can customers get the deal and take delivery by June 30, 2025?
  • It's doubtful that you could take delivery of a Tesla Cybertruck by June 30, 2025, even with 3,700 in inventory.

Greg was at the right place at the right time.

Greg didn't know when he placed his order that demand for the Cybertruck would decrease. Because he waited, he's now getting the 0% financing deal on a new 2025 Cybertruck.

What Did Greg Name His New Tesla Cybertruck?

"His name is Zeus," he says.

How Many Cybertruck Owners Give Their Truck a Name?

There is no official data or survey cited that provides details of how many Cybertruck owners give names to their Cybertrucks.

  • Evidence of Naming: Some Cybertruck owners do choose to name their vehicles. Examples include "Truck Norris," "The Beast," "Kevin the Cube," and "Monolith."
  • Online Discussions: Online forums and groups dedicated to the Cybertruck show owners discussing and sharing the names they've given their trucks.
  • Not Universal: It's unlikely that all Cybertruck owners name their trucks. The practice of naming vehicles is a personal preference.

Conclusion:

The 0% financing deal from Tesla on the Cybertruck is working. It pushed Greg off the fence and into purchasing a 2025 Cybertruck now. How many other buyers will it get to pull the trigger like Greg? Stay tuned.

Cool story, but the bloke is still stuck with an EV. Where's the win, right? And the poor sap won't be able to afford it once the warranty expires. Try to think more than 15 minutes into the future.

I named my Cyber Urinal but, it's just a Hot Wheels. Never would I buy a car from P.T. Musk. The only good thing he's ever done is DOGE.
