Subaru’s 2015 XV Crosstrek arrives this winter and comes at a time when the gas and hybrid models are selling at the highest YTD percentage increase than any other vehicle for the brand. The newly updated 2015 XV Crosstrek and Crosstrek Hybrid models get upgrades that will make it even more attractive for consumers looking for a multi-purpose AWD vehicle.

What’s new on 2015 XV Crosstrek?

The new 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek gas and Hybrid models arrive with new safety features, new infotainment and better fuel mileage than the outgoing model. The big improvement comes in the area of safety in which Subaru is leading the industry. 2015 XV now is available with the brands new-generation EyeSight safety system that puts XV squarely at the top for vehicle safety. Both gas and hybrid models will be offered with this safety feature now.

The new-generation Subaru EyeSight Safety system integrates Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning. This advanced safety system uses Subaru-developed stereo camera technology that was rated highest in front crash prevention system by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). EyeSight-equipped vehicles also add Steering Responsive fog lights as standard.

New rear vision camera

A new 6.2-inch infotainment system with rear vision camera is now standard on 2015 XV Crosstrek 2.0i, 2.0i Premium and Hybrid models. 2015 gets the 6.2-inch touch display with rear vision camera, swipe and scroll multi-function control for audio and other features. The new infotainment system features Subaru STARLINK smartphone integration with Aha Infotainment, Pandora and iHeart Radio. (4 speakers for the 2.0i; 6 speakers for Premium trims).

EyeSight equipped XV Crosstrek 2.0i Premium and 2.0i Limited get a new mid-range infotainment system with features included in the standard system plus 7-inch multi-touch gesture display screen, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, voice activated controls and dual USB ports, and a color LCD in the gauge cluster has been added.


Improved fuel mileage on XV

The sporty newly-upgraded 2015 XV Crosstrek Hybrid now gets an EPA estimated 34-mpg EPA-estimated highway fuel economy. This is a 1 mpg increase over the outgoing model. With Subaru’s standard Symmetrical all-wheel-drive, the XV crossover is one of the most fuel-efficient utility vehicles in America delivering best in-class fuel economy.

Subaru of America has not announced pricing on the new 2015 XV Crosstrek. The new 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek gas and Hybrid models arrive in U.S. dealers this December with new safety features, new infotainment and better fuel mileage than the outgoing model.
