I Just Negotiated a Great Deal On a 2024 Toyota Tacoma, the Tacoma Deals Are Incredible Right Now

It may be the best time to buy if you are considering a 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma. Tomi Slavmikula, who negotiates many Toyota deals, says the Tacoma market has softened, and deals are incredible. See how much he thinks you can save on a new Tacoma truck.

It’s a great time right now for Toyota Tacoma buyers.

Here's what Tomi Slavmikula (@tomislavmikula), a seasoned negotiator with hundreds of car deals under his belt, has to say about the Toyota Tacoma pickup pricing. As he puts it, prices are on a downward trend, which is certainly good news for Tacoma truck buyers.

Tomi says, "Let's talk about the Toyota market because, boy, how things have changed. Let me tell you everything you need to know. If you are considering a Toyota Tacoma in the next few months, Toyota deals are insane right now. Not on all models, but the Tacoma deals are very good."

Why should you listen to Tomi?

With over 150 car deals negotiated monthly, Tomi is a seasoned expert in the field. His unique skill set and extensive knowledge of the Toyota market make him a reliable source for current deals and pricing trends.

Before we hear about the Toyota Tacoma market, imagine having someone who could sit down with you at the Toyota dealer and negotiate thousands of dollars off the sticker price of the new Tacoma that you want.

They handle all the negotiations, from the price of your trade-in to securing a great deal on a new truck. All you have to do is walk into the dealer and sign the papers, knowing that the hard work has been done for you.

They hand you the keys to your new Tacoma pickup and drive it home. It can make car buying enjoyable.

It's possible if you hire an auto broker. More on this later. First, let's find out what Tomi says about the deals he sees now for the popular Tacoma pickup. Typically, the demand for Tacoma is high, and Toyota has not been willing to move off the sticker price in the truck's window.

However, things at Toyota have changed.

Tomi reassures, "I can tell you that the Toyota deals have changed. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma deals are incredible right now. You can get 8% to 13% off the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), which is definitely a range you can achieve. 8% is easier to achieve, 13% is a little bit tougher."

"But don't get me wrong, you should get 10% off on almost any Tacoma deal that you do. Usually, the Tacoma is in high demand, but things are loosening up, and Toyota salespeople are upset about it, he says confidently."

What about the Tacoma TRD trim level?

"I've found that the Tacoma and Tundra TRD Pro deals are not as great. On a Tundra TRD PRO, you can get up to $1,000 to $5,000 off MSRP.  However, if you can get a Tacoma TRD PRO at MSRP, it's considered a great deal. Because they are in high demand, Toyota can get over MSRP on these trims," Tomi reveals.

What is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma pricing?

  • Tacoma SR - $31,590
  • SR5 - $36,220
  • TRD PreRunner - $38,120
  • TRD Sport - $39,400
  • TRD Off-Road $41,800
  • TRD Sport i-Force Max - $46,320
  • TRD Off-Road i-Force Max - $46,620
  • Limited - $52,555
  • Limited i-Force Max - $55,880
  • Trailhunter - $62,735
  • TRD PRO - $63,735

Note: The pricing above does not include delivery, processing, and handling fees ($1,495).

Should you hire an auto broker to do the heavy lifting if you don't want to negotiate with the Toyota dealer yourself?

J.D. Power says, "Car brokers source and negotiate car deals on your behalf. They have experience with dealerships and know all about financing, fees, add-ons, and taxes. With this knowledge, they can negotiate to get you the best deal possible. All you need to do is to give the broker your specifications and preferences, and they will locate a car that matches your needs."

By engaging an auto broker, you can secure your preferred car or truck at a discounted price from what you could normally get. This not only saves you money but also provides convenience and peace of mind during the car buying process.

How do you find a good auto broker?

J.D. Power says, "You can find one online, through your local Chamber of Commerce, or through recommendations. Ask for their license and check online reviews to ensure their credibility. You can also ensure their credibility by asking questions and providing references for their satisfied clients."

How much does an auto broker charge?

Power says once satisfied, you will need to pay a retainer fee. This fee differs from the final fee, ranging from a few hundred to $1,000 the broker will charge for his service. Most brokers charge this fee to ensure your commitment.

The broker's final fee can be a flat, hourly, or commission based on the vehicle's value.

If you don't want to pay a broker, what skills does it take to negotiate 8% to 13% off Tacoma's manufacturer's suggested retail price?

Consumer Reports advises that the salesperson may initially focus on the vehicle's MSRP  or your monthly payment. It's important not to get sidetracked by these tactics.

"If they start with price, make sure you negotiate from the bottommost price and work up, not down from the MSRP."

"By starting with your monthly payment as the focus, the salesperson can lump the whole process together: the price for the new vehicle, the trade-in, and financing, if appropriate. This gives them too much latitude to create confusion."

"Instead, insist on negotiating one thing at a time. Your first priority is to settle on the lowest price you can get on the new vehicle. Only after you've locked that in should you begin to discuss a trade-in or financing."

Conclusion.

Whether you negotiate a 2024 or 2025 Toyota Tacoma purchase or another model yourself or use a broker, go into the transaction armed with information.

U.S. News Autos says you need to know about the car's pricing and how it compares to similar vehicles. You also need to understand the devices a dealer will use to get you to pay their price.

"There are many tactics and steps to take on a car dealer. But ultimately, being armed with information (including how they haggle) will empower you to get the deal done. These sales professionals are experts; unless you prepare to take on a pro, you will have difficulty getting what you want. It's also vital to remain willing to walk away from any deal not going your way.”
