The EPA Says New Subaru Crosstrek Sport, Limited Trims Are Now Less Fuel Efficient

The EPA released the next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.5-liter engine in the Sport and Limited trim level's gas mileage. The EPA report reveals the 2024 Crosstrek 2.5-liter engine gets one mile per gallon less in the city and highway mileage than the 2023 models. The report says the all-new 2024 Crosstrek stays the same for combined city/highway mpg. What are the new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Base and Premium with the 2.0-liter Boxer engine's trim fuel mileage? As previously reported, the 2024 Crosstrek Base and Premium trim levels with the 2.0-liter engine now get 27/34 mpg and 29 combined mpg with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) automatic. Subaru dropped the 6-speed manual trims. The previous-generation 2023 Crosstrek 2.0-liter engine achieved 28/33 mpg and 30 combined mpg with the CVT. 2024 Subaru Crosstrek The 2024 Crosstrek 2.0-liter now gets one mile per gallon less in the city and combined mileage than the 2023 models. The all-new 2024 Crosstrek with the 2.0-liter engine now gets one more mpg in highway driving. What are the new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Sport and Limited trims with the 2.5-liter Boxer engine's trim fuel mileage? The remodeled 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.5-liter gets an EPA-estimated 26/33 city/highway mpg and 29 combined mpg. The previous generation 2023 Crosstrek with the 2.5-liter engine achieved 27/34 city/highway mpg and 29 combined mpg. The new Crosstrek 2.5-liter achieves one mile per gallon less in the city and highway mileage and stays the same at 29 combined city/highway mpg. 2024 Subaru Crosstrek What is the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness fuel mileage with the 2.5-liter engine? The all-new outdoor-themed Wilderness model also comes with the re-tuned 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine, and the EPA still needs to release the Wilderness trim information. Why do the 2024 Crosstrek trims get lower fuel mileage? The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek has added weight due to the exterior cladding and new EyeSight driver-assist safety technology. In addition, the newly redesigned front facia could also be less aerodynamic than the outgoing 2023 models. There haven't been any changes to the 2.0-liter engine's horsepower and torque, but the re-tuned 2.5-liter liter Crosstrek engine gained slightly in torque. The second-generation 2023 model had 182 horsepower and 176 lb. -ft. of torque. The 2024 Crosstrek 2.5-liter Boxer engine now has 182 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0-liter engine stays with 152 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. What type of gas does the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek require? With fuel prices rising, do you need the more expensive grade of gasoline for the 2024 Crosstrek? If you buy the new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, the remodeled vehicle is designed to run on 87 octane or regular gasoline, and you don't need expensive premium or mid-grade unleaded gas. The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.5-liter engine in the Sport and Limited trims is still fuel efficient even with the one mpg change in the city and highway mpg.
