The 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket headed to LA

Much like the Plum Crazy and Green With Envy limited edition packages, the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket is predominantly an appearance package based around a bright Stinger Yellow paint scheme and a set of unique 20” aluminum wheels with black painted pockets. The Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket package is completed by a black stripe that runs the length of the body – housing the new Yellow Jacket logo on the rear quarter panels and tapering to a point towards the front of the Mopar muscle car. Inside, the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket gets a Stinger Yellow accent band on the leather seats with an embroidered Yellow Jacket logo and silver accent stitching.

In addition to the interior and exterior changes, the new 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket features all of the goodies from the non-special edition Challenger SRT8 392 models beginning, of course, with the mighty 392 cubic inch Hemi V8. Pouring 470 horsepower and 470lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via either a manual transmission or automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, the 2012 Challenger SRT8 is among the most powerful cars available in the US market. For 2012, the Challenger SRT8 also benefits from the two-mode adaptive damping suspension system offers selectable suspension tuning to make sure that the Challenger handles as well as it accelerates. Also, thanks the Chrysler’s fuel saver technology, this 470 horsepower beast still offers an impressive 23 miles per gallon on the highway.

Chrysler hasn’t stated just how many examples of the new 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket will be built but the company does point out that these bright yellow Challengers will be offered in a limited run, with orders being taken in December for a delivery date in the 1st quarter of 2012.
